"The Azeri side is ready to negotiate with the Armenian community of

the Nagorno Karabakh only if they

recognize themselves as citizens

of Azerbaijan, the Azeri Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov announced

today.

According to the latter, the negotiations with the Armenian community

of Nagorno Karabakh will be possible if Armenia withdraws from

the negotiation process and the Armenians of Karabakh accept the

territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. "But I am afraid Armenia does

not want Azerbaijan to directly negotiate with the Armenian community

of Karabakh", Mamedyarov said.

 

The Azeri Foreign Minister also mentioned that if there is not progress

in the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijan

will liberate its territories by force, "Regnum" agency reports.

Ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության կարգավորման բանակցություններն ընթանում են նորմալ հունով: Երեւանում լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը հայտարարել է ԼՂ վարչապետ Անուշավան Դանիելյանը: Ըստ նրա, հասկանալի է, որ ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության կարգավորումը բարդ հարց է, միանգամից լուծել հնարավոր չէ, եւ առկա լավատեսությունը չի նշանակում, թե 2006 թ.-ին հարցն անպայման պետք է լուծվի:

 

Ըստ ԼՂ վարչապետի, ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության կարգավորումն ինքնին կարող է (Կոսովոյի մոդելի նման) նախադեպ դառնալ մյուս հակամարտությունների համար: Սովորական որակելով հրադադարի խախտման բազմաթիվ դեպքերը, Անուշավան Դանիելյանն անդրադարձել է վերջերս Ադրբեջանի ԱԳ նախարար Էլմար Մամեդյարովի՝ ղարաբաղցիների հետ բանակցությունների գնալու պայման Ադրբեջանի քաղաքացիություն ընդունելու մասին հայտարարությանը: Ըստ պրն Դանիելյանի, Ղարաբաղը կբանակցի Մամեդյարովի հետ, եթե վերջինս ընդունի Ղարաբաղի քաղաքացիություն որպես ԼՂ ադրբեջանական համայնքի ներկայացուցիչ:

KARABAKH OFFERS MAMEDYAROV NK CITIZENSHIP TO NEGOTIATE WITH HIM

Karabakh conflict regulation talks steadily proceed, NK prime minister Anushavan Danielian told journalists in Yerevan. He thinks that is a complicated one and cannot be settled at one stroke, and the present tension does not mean that the issue will be settled in 2006.

 

According to NK prime minister, Nagorno Karabakh regulation can become a model for other persisting conflicts. Dubbing usual the numerous cases of break of ceasefire, PM Danielian touched on the recent statement of Azerbaijani foreign minister Elmar Mamedyarov according to which Azerbaijan will negotiate with Nagorno Karabakh directly if the people of Karabakh accept Azerbaijani citizenship. Danielian on his part stated that Karabakh will talk to Mamedyarov if the latter accepts citizenship of Karabakh as a representative of the Azeri community of Nagorno Karabakh.
