The latest great news from the Cosmic Ray Division (CRD) of Alikhanian Physics Institute in Armenia is that UN/NASA/ESA (ESA stands for European Space Agency, NASA’s counterpart in Europe) have endorsed a 9 nation network of Space Weather detectors managed by the CRD in Armenia. The detectors are designed by the CRD scientists, they will be built in Armenia, and placed in 9 countries around the world for 24 hour surveillance of Solar activity. Prof. Ashot Chilingarian, head of the CRD, will be the principal investigator of the project and the 9 nation collaboration.
