MosJan
Nice web site / Bravo / I will say Bravo to must any Armenian Web site but I do drown a line on what we post on the web or haw do we do our business It is nice wan you can download music / but I have one concern / has it ever accrued to envy of this music web sits that it might be hurting the artists and the producers / after all Artists get paid by the producers and the production studios if the music has been Gavin a away by some web site – or swapped on the internet / studio will looss big money - and next time will no tpromote a singer liek Tata $85,000 or nune $70,000 - will go for the rabiz staf that only casts 1.500 to 2.000, since his loosing money. has anyone of you asked B4 you offer this songs on the internet ??? guess not / I know at list 7 records/cd at the hayastan web site. at list Arm music Library is offering only samples of the CD that are for sold at his web page / but the HAyastan or AKA Lord Artur is giving a way the music / I guess some web masters will do just about anything to get traffic and attention at list find in your self to gave a credit to producers or the distributor of the CD some credit – no hard fillings – just a friendly advice – Movses [ October 14, 2002, 10:29 AM: Message edited by: MosJan ]

vava
Barev Nice sites Hovsep! Thanks. Although, I have to agree with Movses: quote: It is nice wan you can download music / but I have one concern / has it ever accrued to envy of this music web sits that it might be hurting the artists and the producers / after all Artists get paid by the producers and the production studios if the music has been Gavin a away by some web site – or swapped on the internet / studio will looss big money I understand that the internet has become a valuable resource for those who do not have easy access to Armenian music. But, if we keep downloading music for free, we will eventually undermine the sources that are bringing this music to us. So let us support our Armenian artists - we'll discover the music we like on the internet and then (as we should) we'll go to the store and buy it. After all, nothing is free these days... BTW Hovsep, where in Indiana do you live? I think I have a cousin/second cousin or something like that who lives outside of Chicago.

Sip
quote:Originally posted by vava:Barev Sip, They're not 'his' sites. He merely suggested we visit them! Aha! Ok the world is starting to make sense again See what happens when you try to do 12 things at a time Hovsep jan, thanks for sharing. It's a pretty cool site, I just don't understand why they need a password for mp3 downloads (I'll have to check the details). Movses: I fully agree that artists rights should be protected. Especially our valuable ones (somehow I don't care much about Metalica or Beatles who have made gazillions of dollars). So if they put the full music, it SHOULD be much lower quality so you can still have access to it (for those in the world that simply don't have the means), while at the same time, you can't enjoy it too much without buying it. Unfortunately though, there is NO way such content can be protected (digitally). So it is up to the people to be honest.

benli
Barev dear Hovsep, finally i received a password which allowed me to download music i like from your site. But I am very disappointed in u and with your site. I thought you have made an mp3 gift for all armenians. I thought i can download music and enjoy it. But unfortunately these songs are of bad quality. You just want to take money from armenians by ordering CDs from this site. We can do it from Narek.com, akhtamarrecords.com,parseghian.com etc. What's the different. Yuo just offer people a full version of songs to listen instead of short ones which other sites offer. I cannot see the difference.anyway thanks.... [ October 16, 2002, 11:24 AM: Message edited by: benli ]

imyeraz
Hi everyone, I'm not sure whom to ask but I'm trying to figure out where I can buy a new Kemenche. (The kind in a portrait of Sayat Nova, with the barrel that looks like a ball) I would like to get one as a surprise gift asap for the Director of the Sayat nova Dance Compnay of Boston (Which I've been a member of since 1989). I have been looking everywhere but don't know which way to turn. All the online searching as getting me pictures and CDs but not anywhere I can actually buy the instrument. Can anyone help? Please e-mail me at imyeraz@yahoo.com Thanks so much. And i love this place. I love all these Armenian websites, whoever you all are, keep it up. Hye mishd ga oo ge mena!
