Armenian Arts Fund invites you to a lecture entitled "Managing Genocide: The

Ottoman Government and the Mass-Killings of Armenians" presented by Dr. Hilmar

Kaiser. The presentation is based on findings from his recent study of the

Ottoman archives and will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2006, 7:00 PM at the

Glendale Public Library. 222 E. Harvard St., Glendale, CA 91205 Admission to

the event is Free.

During the past several months, new research in the Ottoman archives has

uncovered fresh materials on the Armenian Genocide.

For the first time, a series of key documents on Ottoman population policies,

demographics, and the execution of the deportations have come to light. This

presentation will offer new information on the fate of the Armenians in the

deserts and provide a new periodization of the deportation scheme.

It will become evident that Armenian survivor accounts and secret Ottoman

government documents complement each other to an astonishingly high degree.

Photographic evidence from European archives, pertaining to these findings, will

be presented at the lecture.
