Guest
Anyone interested in swapping songs via Napster? I'm not really into swapping whole CDs--we should support the Armenian artists out there. But I'd like to hear some new songs and styles. I've got to do my housework first and shopping, then we can do some serious swapping !!
Guest
I've realized, I can't convert songs to MP3. I need to figure out how to do that. Anyway, my Napster name is "GibbyPaulKing". Look for "Raffi01"; he has tons of Armenian stuff.

It was so stupid, hardly worth it.Yeah it might have been about a line or two somewhere that I probably took the wrong way. I cant even remeber what it was about!! Anyway but I should'nt have took it out on you, because you didn't deserve it.The thing you have to remember is that I am a sensitive girl! Still friends? Guest
Gibby, Paul & King are the three core members of The Butthole Surfers. A band I spent a little too much of the second half of the 80's obsessed with. How could you be mad about that line I jokingly translated--I don't even know what you look like! Of course we're friends [This message has been edited by Pilafhead (edited November 04, 2000).]

Guest
Don't act all posh! I saw you jumping up and down when The Surfers played Reading! Looks, shmooks! That's the beauty of the internet. I just wanted to show off Mr. B (my son) and to find out if I really do look Armo. BTW, at the moment I am obsessed with Radiohead. KID A RULES! There are a lot of programs for converting audio tracks into mp3 files. You can search http://downloads.com or http://softseek.com for such a software. You may find even freeware ones. I use AudioCatalyst.
Guest
A Thom Yorke lookalike? And he's getting girls??! Man, I bet that guy never thought his looks would be in. He probably worships Radiohead. They did the middle part of Paranoid Android that goes "rain down, rain down..." Daron (the guitarist) sung with Serj (the singer) singing back-up. My head could have exploded at that point. Turns out my buddy that went with me had been listening to OK Computer on the way to my house. TALK ABOUT SYNCHRONICITY! Yeah, I like Madness. The nutty boys with their baggy trousers. I was really into their first album when it came out (also the Specials) and kind of lost interest after that. Got worse when "Our House" became a hit and all the people that used to call me weird for being into punk/new wave were into it. THEN it was suddenly against the law to like mod and punk music. My last fight many many many moons ago was with a mod who called us "fags" because we were punks.Quadrophenia, anyone? I recently bought that 3 CD Madness singles set which is great stuff. Specials just came out with one that I'm going to pick up. [This message has been edited by Pilafhead (edited November 05, 2000).]
Guest
Thanks, Garo! OK, anyone that wants to swap look search on "HyeForum" and look for "GibbyPaulKing". I'll try to make samples of old Armenian folk/cabaret and some current kef stuff available over the next few weeks. Can someone please let me know if searching on "HyeForum" as one word in the ARTIST blank works??? I'll leave it open for the next eight hours. I only have contemporary pop stuff in there right now that I've downloaded from others. I'll move that stuff out as I put older music in. Guest
I recently discovered Napster and I LOVE it. I have converted a lot of my cda files to MP3. Now even if I lose my CD's, I have the songs I have also downloaded some great songs that I just could not find in CD stores. One thing I am missing is DSL (it takes me a good half hour to download a song). BTW my nick on Napster is Sulamita777. Welcome to my library - but please don't downlaod 10 songs at once, my computer goes into a coma A
