I thank Andy for this one I had never heard this song performed before Andy did a wonderful arrangement and started singing it. Here it goes.

Well I bet none of you thought this thread would reappear nearly 4 years later...:)

 

As part of my ongoing obsession with dialects -- could someone comment on the seeming mix of the two major dialects here?

 

We have g'erta/k'erta, goo dam/koo tam, but also some EA verb usage as well.

 

Also, at the end of the 2nd verse -- the word "dard." This is a Turkish noun meaning "worry" or "hok/hog" (armenian).

 

Is this written in some dead dialect that mixes the two major dialects?
