Guest
I wish everybody a happy 8 october the ancient Mithrakana, The Mehregan anniversary . Mehregan is an ancient tradition of the Aryan people, as Nowruz is the begining of the warm period, Mehregan is the begining of the cold period. Mehragan is Mithrakana in Avestic language. Mithra was the Aryan God of sun, but after of Zarathustra, the priests brought him back this time as an angel. But the Romans have took him over from the Parthians, when they fought in Armenia. The Romans praised Mithra as their upper God. Mithra is Mehr in Persian and Meher in Armenian. Old Armenia was a major centre of Mithra cult. If I find online texts I will post them here. We youth of Iran are trying to revive this tradition, are there any movements by the youth of Armenia to revive this too? Guest
According to some rethorics that I've learned here in this forum: His/her Armenian ancestors would be very happy if a Hayastantsi revive the old traditions.
