I took this picture of my brother in Green River, Utah yesterday evening. I guess you can either be a great photographer, or just happen to be in the right place at the right time! :artist: :) Of course all I did was to resize and post the pic here.

Ha ha ... this was the first time I realized there is a 110 miles between Salina and Green River with NOTHING (i.e. no gas stations). I have been to Moab from LA a few times before ... Moab is like 40 miles from Green River ... but this was the first time I passed Salina with enough gas to only go 60 miles

There is a turn off, of I70 for this little town called Emry that's like 35 miles east of Salina .... so I had to take that ... 12 miles into town and they had NO power which means gas pumps were down. Next town was another 12 miles ... by the time we got there, it was bogging down in 5th gear .... I litterally pulled into the station on fumes :D

I ended up driving about 50 miles extra for gas but at least I didn't get stuck. For some reason I don't like carrying extra gas with the jeep but I probably should. I have to make a place to put a gas can on the back next to the spare.

Well, today is the last stretch ... we did 730 miles the first day (50 extra), about 820 miles yesterday, and I have another 500 or so miles to go today and I'll be home!

Side note: As much as I hate driving through Nebraska and Iowa, I do love the fact that 89 gas is cheaper than 87 gas here by 10 cents! I pumped $3 in CA (baker) for 87, but I'm pumping 89 for $2.15 in NE!!! :o

Sip jan we have had the same problem 3 times

the first gestation off the I70 is right after you enter I70 - go North of the exit - it’s after some historical site – “ an old military Fort “ - it even has a nice rest aria

last year I was a sleep – Freind who was driving he missed the exit – told me that the exit was closed and was close to fish lake forest – the Friendly Yellow Light was on and it was below the E.

lucky for me we still had some gas in my ATV - hard part was getting the Gas out of the ATV

The only part I don’t like on I 70 is “Fish Lake” at the night

Most of the time driving back from Colorado we get to pass Fish Lake at the night

Man early November or end of October – you can be sure to run in to some Snow or Ice

OHhh BOyy
