Zartonk
Has anybody ever seen a "bambir"(the instrument) before? Are they made anywhere today? As far as I know, it's a stringed guitar-like instrument. I was also wondering about its origin and weather its completely Armenian. MosJan
Hello Zartonk and welcome to HyeForum BamB~iR բամբիռ it's an String instrument - much like an Piccolo Chellos it is made in Yerevan Armenia Hard to find - only 2 Masters have ever made - one of them is Rafael Petrosyan ( the man who has carved trains on human hair ) it's not like an guitar - it's much like an Piccolo ( small ) chello/cello like it uses a bow to play - much smaller and the neck is longer then normal cello and yes it's 100% Armenian I did have some pictures - but just can’t find them sorry

Zartonk
That's Tigran II (The Great), monarch of the vastest Armenia in history. The King of Kings I know is neither Darius nor Alex! Masterfull sculpture though, isnt it? (has to be Yerevan..)
