MosJan
FIRST READING ON MOTION ON ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IN GERMAN BUNDESTAG SCHEDULED FOR APR 21 OR 22 http://www.arminfo.am/images/bundestag_250.jpg BERLIN, APRIL 9. ARMINFO. The CDU/CSU faction's motion "The Commemoration of Armenians on the 90th Anniversary of Their Relocation and Massacre on Apr 24 1915 - Germany Should Contribute to Provide Peace between Turks and Armenians" will be introduced at the German Bundestag Apr 21 or 22, the author of the motion, the president of the German-Caucasian parliamentary group Christoph Bergner says in an exclusive interview to ARMINFO. He says that the Turkish media report that the discussion has been put off for indefinite period is not correct. According to the planning the motion will be introduced at 21. or 22th of April. This will be a first reading after which the committee of foreign politics will discuss the issue. The final decision of the parliament to the issue can be expected before summer, says Bergner. To remind, the Turkish media alleged that the discussion was put off because Germany did not want to offend Turkey on the eve of Gerhard Schroeder's visit to that country.
