See for yourselves. ----- The following is a ditty in the Marash dialect. It is a parody, it is hilarious but reveals much of the culture of the time. It has much Turkish elements, yet if you watch closely you will notice that the Marashtsis pronounced their consonants according to the Mashtots model. When they say "byuz" they mean "boz" spelled ben ini hyumn nu, where ini-hyun sounds like the French U as in une , i.e. "poz/whore" in the traditional western dialect. "binor" is "beran=peran=mouth" etc. I will indicate Turkish word with an *. You will also notice that many a's are changed to o as in "chots tom" (inchpes tam)=give. It is in NLS Arial AM.
