Speaking at the news conference, singer Arsen Grigorian, who had received an offer from a Turkish production company, called on his colleagues to reject the Turkish offer to participate in a joint Armenian-Turkish cultural project. It is not by an accident that Turks are attempting to engage Armenians in a pro-Turkish project, to be funded by the U.S., in the year we are marking the 90th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, he said. According to Grigorian, the Turkish production company TDI is planning to produce a CD album containing performances by Armenian and Turkish musicians. "They are trying to convince the world that Armenians and Turks can be friends. As long as they deny the Genocide, I cannot accept any cultural or economic cooperation," he concluded.
