What does "gapik/gâpik" mean in Armenian?

 

Who was it that at one time said all Armenian words ending in the diminutive suffix/masnik -ik or -ak is of Persian origin? Was it Harut, Azat ot Nairi?

The Persian language is supposed to be Indo-Europian. You could have fooled me! What with their Arabic/Semitic alphabet? Those idiot Mullahs! If they would only realize that the closest alphabet to suit their language is the the Mesropian one! Notice the acrobatics they go through, the sub- and the super-strikes to produce sounds that the Arabs don't and never will have. Look at how they produce the sound of "gabig" by adding super-slash to the Arabic K to produce the sound of G which the Arabs (except the Egyptians) don't have.

 

The Persians don't use "kapik" anymore, they have found a newfangled Arabic word for it, "maimoun", it describes them to the tee, i.e. mime, mimos, ape, aper, copycat. The word in fact means "happy" literally. During the time of Vardan the word "kapik/kapi" was not known in Armenia, "apuzna" was used instead, until it was adopted from the Pahlavi "kapik" which in turn is from the Sanskrit "kapi", also found in old Egyptuan "kephi", Assyrian "ukupu" and "kop/kupa". It is theorized that the entire thing is based on the Hindi "kapi", to mean the reddish gray color.

 

As to who is the real "kapik". Who imitates, mimes whom? Whether Armenian is the parent language or the Persian? Who borrowed from whom...?

 

Let the monkey business begin, let the coconuts and the bananas fly. Be careful to not step on banana peels lest you break your kapik/ monkey funny-bone.

 

How about we forget all this monkey business and get back to real business of us being Armenian and they Persian, never mind tha Judeo and Islamo garbage respectively.

 

NB

As to "abuzna", the obsolete Armenian word for "monkey" is also supposed to be used by the Persians. I could not find any reference, perhaps Iran01 can. It is also supposed to be used by the Russians as "oboziina". Is that right? Does "bozo" come from there? The word in itself is evident to be of Arabic origin. The spelling with P is an error, it is supposed to "aBuzna", obviously Arabic with the "abu".
