Miron Merzhanov - Miron Ivanovich Merzhanov Miron Ivanovich Merzhanov (in Armenian - Меружанянц Михран Ховнеши, in Russian - Миро́н Ива́нович Мержа́нов ) is a Soviet architect of Armenian origin. In the period 1934-1941, he was the personal architect of Joseph Stalin , becoming the author of the projects of the villas (dachas) of Stalin, as well as of other senior leaders of the USSR in the city of Kuntsevo, the resort of Matsest (outside the city of Sochi ) and residence Bocharov ruchey, which is used to this day by the president of Russia . In the period 1943-1954 he was repressed , as a result he fell into disgrace and was sent to work in an architectural " sharashka " from Sochi to Komsomolsk on the Amur .
