My grandfather's name, after he came to U.S. was "Lewis Die." His first name was really Levon. My family is trying to trace him down so that we can find out his real last name, as it was changed/shortened when he came to U.S. He was born in Kulp, Yerevan in 1893, died in 1921 in Los Angeles at the young age of 28. We know his father and mother's first names, Sam and Mary or Sarah. He worked as a foreman at a Economy Paper Co. in Los Angeles until a large door fell on him at work, and he died in the hospital of pneumonia. I was able to find his grave site in L.A. Grave marker said "Lewis Dee." Does anyone have any suggestions on what his last name may have been? Or do you have any ideas on how to find out? Any information from anyone will be appreciated. Thank you.
