I have asked Google in the past if they would ever put Martyrs day on the Google logo. I got a positive, but vague answer, and three times now, no logo. If you people wouldn't mind, maybe you could email Google as well, asking them to to place it on their logo next year. And of course, I'm sure we'll get resistance from the other end. Aram

Conflict between Greeks and Armenians in Israel
Dynaman replied to Dynaman's topic in † Armenian Apostolic Church
Hmm... Well, just to be fair, If I were to ask the greeks side of the story, what would they say??? We run the place? -
Nairi: HDMI = High Definition Multimedia Interface Blue Ray has a definition of 1080p .. That's 1080 lines of resolution, with a progressive scan technique. This allows for a picture that does don't jitter or flash as much when your eye moves across the screen. A BR payer will downconvert to 720 if need be, but there is no going back in my opinion. When HD2 comes out in a few years, you will double the 1080 res. I suggest getting a HDTV with a 1080P spec., HDMI inputs, and optical outputs. Stay with LCD and not plasma... there are issues with plasma. Also to do this right, get an A/V receiver and use a 5.1 speaker set up. It is the only way to watch movies nowadays, otherwise you will be missing a lot. If you need more help let me know, or email me directly. Aram

I am not sure If I should be ashamed or proud as to the arguing/fighting between the Greeks and Armenians at the Holy Sepulchre. Can someone explain what is happening? Mother says the Greeks keep inching up on our portion slowly taking it over. The News says that the Greeks run the joint. Explanations welcome. Aram

What's the Deal? On CNN they said the airplane flipped upside down before getting off the runway. Are the QC guys that check the planes corrupt too? How in the hell does an accident like that even happen? Weren't flight controls checked??? or were the passengers pushed in with chickens and goats in hand and handed their seat rope? Hyeastancies, get it together already...one day, I'd like to visit in one piece and come home... Geez Loo-eez! Note: I merged your topic with an existing one, also it's not nice to pass judgement without getting the facts, if you have it please share with us no assumptions. Yervant

I was wondering if there any Armenians out there working in Pro-Sound/Pro Audio, M.I. or Audio Engineering. Aram

You know WS: I am kind of interested in doing that. It wouldn't be an Armenian forum, but what is involved? Is it free? How much work is involved? Aram

Thanks for the heads up Ashot: What I am looking for is someone who: 1) Is responsible, and honest, keeps promises. 2) I am looking for vacuum tubes made at low cost, in quantity of course. 3) I would like to build a few tubes: 12AX7's, EL-34's, and 6550's in a unique glass package, that I will design. 4) I want the tubes to be built extra heavy duty, and have extended specifications. Any other information, will be provided as needed.

Hello My fellow Hyes: Are there any Armenians that have experience with, and willing to manufacture vacuum tubes in Armenia? Aram

Dang! I need some Rackie! You two sound like theologians in the world court. Am am ashamed of my lack of knowledge, and honored by yours. Aside from the JW's, the over all purpose is to bring people to the Lord. Would you guys consider the best way to solve that? I have been and am down both roads of thought. I don't think any side is winning...and Onning, you have to focus on letting go of your pain and give it to God. In his time, he will start to demolish lousy churches and fix the ones that have hope. You both are too intelligent to be arguing about something that has been argued for several hundred years. If I may be bold to suggest spinning your wheels in a different direction. You know, we are Hyes, and we do have a brotherly connection. Eventually, with hope, we can have a spiritual one too. It would be nice to update your profiles. I would like to know more about you all. Hay! Aram

Ecumenical Hypocrisy In The Armenian Apostolic Church
Dynaman replied to onnig's topic in † Armenian Apostolic Church
I was referring to when Martin Luther came in, resulting in the exodus of many people from the Roman Catholic Church, caused mostly of the sales of it's indulgences. -
Ecumenical Hypocrisy In The Armenian Apostolic Church
Dynaman replied to onnig's topic in † Armenian Apostolic Church
Onnig paragam: "There is nothing one can do?..." For as spiritually sophisticated as you surely are, you should know nothing is above God. Respectfully, I don't buy that statement, and I know you don't either. If I were to make an educated guess, you are most likely just tired and mentally exhausted from thinking about it, and arguing with people about it. Been there done that! The Catholic Church once fell from it's sin, and the Orthodox church may one day do the same, if it continues to not deal with it's issues. God is being patient for the time being; but don't be fooled; events and incidents are taking place that we do not know of. I believe spiritual leaders are under more stringent scrutiny than the rest of us in Gods eyes. God can tweak things to progress bad situations towards good. If you have thrown in the towel, then I suggest you at least continually pray for our Church on a daily basis, and specifically pray for Church clergy and personnel in in responsible positions. Your pal, Aram -
Ecumenical Hypocrisy In The Armenian Apostolic Church
Dynaman replied to onnig's topic in † Armenian Apostolic Church
Okie-Doke.. Fair enough...You are not the first nor will you be the last to leave. And yes the brotherhood is very tight knit on retaining their historical philosophy. It does appear the Apostolics pull the "H" card when ever new ideas are expressed, plus there seems to be a group of Church Board members who are threatened by new ideas fearing everyone will leave the church -- so "status quo" it is. I am sure you know all of this. I believe Board members who also help guide the Church think this way because of a distant relationship between themselves and God. After all, sadly to say, Bible study is discouraged in the Armenian Church. Having said all of this Onning, certainly you would agree, the Protestant Church has it's own problems as well. There are so many varieties of them. Why??? Well.. once again theology arguments and interpretations. It's often not clear cut to get to the truth. I once thought to myself, even if the Bible were written blatanly as in the ten commandments, there would be some dodo asking the definition of what "is" or "not" truly means. I would encourage you not to be upset. It is an uphill battle, just as it was when Jesus was physically around. Jesus was essentially a heretic to Jews, and frankly still remains that way today. If you are strong enough in your Godly walk. I would suggest going back maybe once a month and see how God may use you. You may have already tried and failed in the past, but leaving just lets the devil win, and we can't have that. Armenian Protestant Church? What denomination? Hay! it's a great day to be alive! Ecumenical Hypocrisy In The Armenian Apostolic Church
Dynaman replied to onnig's topic in † Armenian Apostolic Church
Agreed Onnig: However knowing this, what do plan to do about it? Are you a Lucavorgagan or Poggachan. That to would help me understand your perspective. I think leaving the Church without trying to help would be a mistake. There are many issues waiting to be resolved. Aram -
Dear Hye Fellow engineers: I was wondering if anyone needed and electronics engineering and or manufacturing services performed. Money is awfully tight these days, and I am looking for some opportunity. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Aram

First Time poster fellow Hyes: Does anyone have access to all of the Armenian Apostolic Church Canons in English? I heard it was not available in English, but I thought some educational institutes had them. I would like to purchase them all, to have a better understanding of Church rules. Your help would be very much appreciated. Aram
