    Hargeli MosJan, First of all I want to say that the full name of the Committee is the World Committee of the Pan-Armenian Games (WCPAG) and not ICPAG. your information concerning the Pan-Armenian Sports Congress interested me very much. Can you give me the source from which you've got that info? I'm very inteested in Pan-Armenian Games so I'd like to have more information about it. Thanks in advance!!!

    On 27 April 1997 the World Committee of the Pan-Armenian Games (WCPAG) is founded. The First Games were held in 1999. the Second Games in 2001. I think that the realization of this Games is a great opportunity for the Armenians all over the world. The main aims of the WCPAG are: 1. Strengthening the unity of Armenia and the Diaspora, which is in interests of the whole Armenian nation, 2. Strengthening the cooperation of the Armenian traditional sports organizations of the Diaspora in the sphere of athletics, 3. Reconstructing and launching new sport centers in Armenia and rising the interest of the youth of Armenia towards athletics. These aims also provided the support of such Armenian traditional sports organizations of Disapora as AGBU-AYA, HOMENETMEN, HOMENMEN, ARARAT. So I think that the World Committee of the Pan-Armenian Games has done much both for Armenia and the Diaspora during these 5 years. Hope to see the Third Pan-Armenian Games realized with more success. I hope to read the opinions of other participants of this forum.

    This question has many sides and I don't think that any individual opinion is right or wrong. each person has his mentality and his own way of thinking. I think this question can have several approaches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I don't think that elephants mean something to Armenian culture. And even if there is somthing I think it was borrowings from other cultures.
