Aghmug, have you heard of Benz Mezinek. Mark Ryan (H. Der Hovagimian) is his actual name. He does mostly house music, but he put out an album in 1997 which was a mixture of electronic, new age and world music. I know he is influenced by Dead Can Dance (although I don't know much about them). He's putting out another album before next spring which is sort of his 1997 album, but with more influences of Massive Attack, Enigma and Armenian instruments.
