There is nothing new about another Armenian perpetrating fraud, especially in Glendale. The respect and esteem that one of the members mentioned that people used to have for Armenians is a thing of the past when our forefathers weren't all trying to cheat everyone around them. When I lived in Armenia for a few short months people used to call each other "clever" in the deceitful way, as a compliment. Every Armenian that I know thinks that they're so clever that they can cheat the system and get away with crimes, large and small. That might be fine and dandy but those same people don't care what they're doing to the Armenian reputation. As such, being an Armenian is equivalent to being a criminal who isn't in jail, yet. Those stories that our grandmothers tell us about how they used to be respected at the airport or some restaurant are just stories now. We live in a time where if you tell someone you're an Armenian you may as well be admitting you are a criminal or associate with criminals. I know that this message was insulting: I am Armenian and I'm pissed off that I've lived a good and honest life and now I have to be embarassed to say I'm Armenian because so many Armenians choose to be "clever".
