"ex-minister
Kareem Pakradouni is considered - without any dispute - the most
successful Lebanese-Armenian: he has been successful in a
non-Armenian party and in holding high governmental positions. He
joined the Phalange Party starting with the Student Movement and then
becoming the head of this mainly Christian Maronite party. He was
also vice-president of the militia Lebanese Forces during the most
difficult times of the war in Lebanon. More recently, he was
appointed a minister occupying a seat that was traditionally reserved
for a member of an Armenian party. He could even be considered the
most famous politician in the Arab world who is of Armenian heritage."
"He believes that his feelings of
Lebanese citizenship overwhelmed his feelings of Armenian roots, so
he chose to play a bigger role on the national scene. That is why
years ago, he decided to join a non-Armenian party, just as the youth
are doing now."
"Kareem Pakradouni urges the Lebanese-Armenians to strive for success
in politics, just as they have been successful in economy. He also
urges them to venture out of their Armenian parties, which are
limited to the Armenian denomination. Pakradouni invites the youth to
try this experience which requires skills and sacrifices in order to
gain the trust of the non-Armenian parties."

Is anyone proud of this "most famous politician in the Arab world who is of Armenian heritage"??
How does this trend of armenian youth, moving away from armenian political parties towards non-armenian ones, makes us feel?
