my mom's grandparents and her father were from turkey. i know a lot of turkish (and arabic) words due to my upbringing. i used to think they were common armenian words, until i used them on some armenian from iran. chojookh!! kheeyar adom!! eeshalah!

i thought the passion was way overrated. it looked beautiful in the previews and everything, but it was complete garbage on the big screen. even my mom thought it sucked. it was just one big shockfest of fake blood and hate. now, that's ALRIGHT if you were making movies like "the toxic avenger" or "eraserhead", but mel gibson relying on shock value is hilariously tacky. sure jesus went through a helluva lot of suffering, but i don't understand how people felt more spiritual by watching this film. there are many prophets and not-so-prophets who were subjected to pain and suffering for believing in humanity or simply doing miracles. haven't you seen that man in india who stood standing up for 7 years? he also rolled down the streets for half of the country of india. he is also suffering for our "sins". i think the movie should have portrayed jesus' message a lot better and it shouldn't have made the film 80% of violence. people were taking their kids to see this movie.. THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT FREDDY KRUGER BEING TOO VIOLENT YET THEY FAIL TO SEE HOW TRAUMATIZING IT CAN BE TO BE 5 YEARS OLD, WATCHING THE PASSION. /rant

a choice between god or armenia? you serious? if i was religious, i would be sort of offended to be asked that. what does god have to do with our culture/motherland? did god create armenia first? i don't know. i don't think it matters though. there's something called "plate tectonics". i've got it! ARMENIA was in the middle of pangea!! land spread out from there, thus making armenia the ultimate motherland! without my lab of creationalists, i cannot find what caused the plates to break and move. maybe god was bored? in conclusion, i'm not being serious. back on topic, i thought this song was hilarious. it really depicts the FOB (to us) beruit life. everyone is a friggin jeweler and smokes too much! the song itself was terrible, but was funny as hell. GOR GOR GOR is right! it reminds me of my brother mispronouncing it and saying "inch guhnes GOHHHH?" hi-larious. maybe i thought this song was clever because i could actually understand the lyrics past all the "gor's"? speaking of which, who else on the boards is beruitsie? i'm a newb.

also, the only time abstinence only programs ever talk about contraceptions is when they mention how often contraception fails. it's ridiculous.

just use fruity loops and see what you can produce. i know plenty of people who have made great, original songs with that program. here's plenty of torrents for the program. i, too, would like to see this done.

i'm sorry, but i think you're terribly wrong. that may just be my non-sound engineer side talking, but you're being very, very biased. not all producers are out to make money. the indie ones do it for the beats. not all freestylers sell their souls for record sales. you are completely ignoring the underground, which is a vast majority of hiphop music. this is a different style of music and although i respect your opinion, i cannot understand your reasoning. it's just absurd. just say that you think it sucks, and that's it. just because you're a sound engineer, doesn't mean your opinion is regarded more. i used to be a musician. does that mean that everyone should like the music i like just because i know something about music?
