jgm1975 I agree with you 100%. Phonetically Eastern, literary Western. I am not French, I am Hayastanci, and damn it I can't brake the habit of saying "merci" all the time. "Shnorhakalem" is such a beautiful word.

"Hajis" is definitely Western Armenian. Those who do speak the dialogue rarely use any word that is not originally Armenian. The roots of this word if not in Grapar then they must have evolved from another word, like "hajeli" that our friend mentioned.
