«Ազգովի պետք է ոտքի կանգնենք» Եվս մեկ ականատեսի վկայություն Հովիկը 46 տարեկան է: Փետրվարի 19-ի ընտրություններից հետո նա մասնակցել է ընդդիմության հանրահավաքներին, գիշերել Ազատության հրապարակում: Մարտի 1-ի եւ լույս 2-ի գիշերվա իրադարձությունների մասին նրա պատմածները ներկայացնում ենք գրեթե առանց խմբագրման: Գիշերը ժամը 1-ից սկսած ժողովրդի մեջ խոսակցություններ պտտվեցին, թե իբր Արթուր Բաղդասարյանը, որպես անվտանգության քարտուղար, այդ գիշեր Օպերան «մաքրելու» հրամանագրի տակ ստորագրել է: Կային մարդիկ, որ հավատացին: Որոշները նույնիսկ գնացին տուն: Բայց ես լուրջ չընդունեցի, մտածեցի, որ հերթական պրովոկացիան է (ամեն օր էլ զորքի հարձակման մասին խոսում էին): Ժամը 6-ին կարծես այդ լուրերը հաստատվեցին: Ասացին, որ հրապարակի ուղղությամբ զորք է գալիս: Անմիջապես տղամարդկանցով հրապարակի երկայնքով շարվեցինք` կանանց ու երեխաներին թողնելով մեր թիկունքում: Լեւոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանը մոտեցավ բարձրախոսին եւ ասաց. «Զգույշ եղեք, խնդրում եմ` հանկարծ որեւէ մեկդ ձեր նախաձեռնությամբ քայլ չանեք: Ոստիկաններն էլ են մեր ժողովուրդը: Կգան, իրենց պահանջները կներկայացնեն եւ ըստ այդմ էլ` կորոշենք մեր անելիքը»: Երեւի 10 րոպե անց հայտնվեցին: Մեզնից 1-1, 5 մ հեռավորության վրա դեմ-դիմաց շարվեցին: Բոլորը սաղավարտով էին, վահաններով եւ դուբինկաներով: Առաջին շարքում կանգնածները ոստիկանական զգեստով էին, իսկ նրանց հետեւից արդեն մուգ հագուստներով էին` հատուկ ջոկատայիններ: Եկվորներից մի խումբ մոտենում էր հարթակին` Լեւոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանին: Այդ ընթացքում մենք մեր դիմացիններին խնդրում էինք. «Ախպերներ ջան, ձեր ցավը տանենք, եկեք սենց կանգնենք, մինչեւ լույսը կբացվի: Ինչի՞ համար եք գիշերվա կեսին եկել: Էստեղ ձեր քույրերն ու մայրերն են, եթե արյուն թափվի, մեզնից է լինելու, մեր մեջ թուրք չկա»: Մոտ 3-4 րոպե դեմ դիմաց կանգնած մնացինք: Սրանք բառ չէին ասում: Հանկարծ դվիժոկի ձայնը կտրվեց, լույսերն անջատեցին ու հարձակումը սկսվեց: Լեւոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանը բղավում էր. «Ժողովրդին հանգիստ թողեք, ես եմ ղեկավարը, ես եմ պատասխանատուն, ինձ ձերբակալեք»: Մեզ մոտ փայտեր ունեինք: Շատերս վառելափայտից մահակներ էինք սարքել, որ կարողանանք պաշտպանվել: Իսկ այն, որ ասում են, թե իբր զինված ենք եղել, իսկ իրենք էլ եկել էին խուզարկության, անամոթ սուտ է: Նման պահանջ չեն ներկայացրել: Հետո` 10 օր Օպերայի բակում էինք, ոստիկաններն օրուգիշեր հետներս էին եւ ոչ մի անգամ խուզարկության մասին չեն ակնարկել: Ուղղակի ծիծաղելի էր մեր բարձրաստիճան ղեկավարների հայտարարությունը, թե իբր ստացված օպերատիվ տեղեկություններով ոստիկանները եկել էին զենք-զինամթերք փնտրելու: Էլ չեմ ասում, որ նույն այդ ոստիկաններն այնպիսի վիճակ ստեղծեցին, որ եթե ինչ-որ մեկի մոտ, ասենք, նռնակ լիներ, նա մեկ վայրկյան չէր վարանի եւ կնետեր նրանց վրա: Սկզբում, երբ հարձակվեցին, լուրջ դիմադրություն ցույց տվինք եւ սրանք նահանջեցին: Դու մի ասա` դա նկարահանման համար բեմադրված թատրոն էր, որ հեռուստատեսությամբ օրերով ցուցադրեին: Նահանջից հետո «սպեցնազը» վրա տվեց, մինի կոլցոներով մեզ սկսեցին ջարդել: Շրջվում էիր, հետեւից էլ էին իրենք եւ անխնա խփում էին: Կանայք ու երեխաները վախից վրաններում կուչ էին եկել: Սրանք ոտքերով ու դուբինկաներով խփում էին վրանների ձողերին, շուռ տալիս, գիշերը թիթեղյա ամաններում մեր վառած կրակի մնացորդները լցնում դրանց վրա ու անաստվածի պես մեջի մարդկանց ծեծում: Թշնամին այդ կերպ չէր վարվի: Մի սարսափելի ճիչ էր լցվել ամբողջ հրապարակում: Կանայք ցավից ու վախից անտանելի բղավում էին: Երեւի ազատամարտիկներ էին` «Երկրապահի» տղաներից, Հյուսիսային պողոտայի մոտից մի կերպ միջանցք բացեցին, որ ժողովուրդը կարողանա փախչել: Իրենք դրա հնարավորությունը չէին տվել. 4 կողմից փակել էին: Որ կողմ նայում էիր, 5-6 շարքով կանգնած էին: Եթե այդ միջանցքը չբացվեր կամ մի քիչ ուշանար, հրապարակից նորմալ մարդ դուրս չէր գա. բոլորը հաշմանդամ կդառնային: Փախչելիս հետեւներիցս գալիս էին ու էլի խփում: Դրանց բուն նպատակը մեզ ցրելը չէր, այլ վախեցնելն ու ջարդելը, որ նորից հավաքվելու մտքից հրաժարվեինք: Ես փախա բարեկամիս տուն: Քիչ թե շատ ինձ տեսքի բերեցի ու վերադարձա Օպերա: Արդեն ամեն ինչ վերջացած էր: Հրապարակը լցված էր զորքով, իսկ մուտքերը հսկում էին ոստիկանները: Իմացա, որ ժողովուրդը հավաքվում է Ֆրանսիայի դեսպանատան մոտ, եւ նորից ուժայինները ծեծ ու ջարդ են սկսել: Մեկնեցի այնտեղ: Այդ պահին մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպան Արմեն Հարությունյանն էր եկել: Ինչ-որ մեկին ոստիկաններն ուզում էին փախցնել, պաշտպանը թույլ չէր տալիս, եւ դուբինկայի մի 2 հարված էլ նրան հասավ: Հետո հարյուր հազարավոր մարդիկ հավաքվեցին, կառուցեցինք բարիկադներ եւ պատրաստվեցինք ինքնապաշտպանության: Նորից, երբ արդեն գիշեր էր, շուրջբոլորը մութ, իշխանությունը սկսեց գործել: Ձկան խանութի մոտից զորքը մոտեցավ ժողովրդին: Լուսարձակող փամփուշտներով կրակահերթ բացեցին, բայց օգուտ չտվեց: Հակառակը, ժողովուրդն աղմուկ-աղաղակ բարձրացրեց, ինչը զորքի մեջ խուճապ առաջացրեց: Բայց դրանք 18 տարեկան զինվորներ չէին: Այնուհետեւ կրկին առաջ եկան, մի քանիսին ծեծեցին, եւ բախումը սկսվեց: Ժողովուրդը կռվում էր քարերով, փայտերով ու արմատուրաներով: Զորքը ստիպված հետ գնաց: Հետո լսվեցին կրակոցներ: Սկզբում մտածեցի, թե ռետինե փամփուշտներ են: Բայց գնդակները կպնում էին շենքերի պատերին ու ռեկաշետ լինում: Ձայնը պարզ լսվում էր: Դրանք մարտական փամփուշտներ էին: Եվ սուտ է, թե կրակոցները եղել են ժողովրդի մեջից: Հարյուր կողմից նկարել են: Եթե մեկի մոտ թեկուզ փոքրիկ պիստոլետ լիներ, էդ կադրը էկրաններից չէին իջեցնի: Այդ իրենք էին, որ ջրցան մեքենաներ, արցունքաբեր գազ, էլեկտրաշոկ եւ աղմուկ հանող ռումբեր օգտագործելուց բացի, խեղճ ժողովրդի վրա սկսեցին մարտական փամփուշտներով կրակել: Անձամբ եմ տեսել` նույնիսկ ԲՄՊ-ն նահանջելիս 5-10 գնդակ ԴՇԿ-ից կրակեց: Ընկածներ կային, բայց չեմ կարող ասել` ինչի՞ց էին ընկել կամ կենդանի՞ էին, թե՞ ոչ: Այդ շոկային վիճակում ոչ այն էր` պաշտպանվեիր, ոչ այն է ինչ-որ մեկին օգնեիր: Ժողովրդի նետած բենզինով լցված շշերի շնորհիվ զորքը նահանջեց մինչեւ Լեոյի փողոց: Եթե այդ շշերը չլինեին, զոհերի թիվն անկասկած շատ կլիներ: Իսկ դրանից կարելի էր խուսափել, եթե Լեւոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանին բաց թողնեին: Հիմա ամեն ինչ բարդում են այս կողմի վրա, իսկ ժողովրդին ներկայացնում որպես խուլիգան կամ, լավագույն դեպքում, հիպնոսի տակ գտնվող մոլորյալներ: Ու մեկը հարց չի բարձրացնում` բա, լավ, Վեհափառն ու՞ր էր: Թող գար էդ «մոլորյալ» համարվող հոտին տեր կանգներ: Վստահ եմ, եթե նա կանգներ ժողովրդի եւ զորքի մեջտեղը, ամեն ինչ այլ կերպ կավարտվեր: Բայց մեր Կաթողիկոսի համար ավելի կարեւոր բաներ կային: Չգիտեմ... Խորապես վիրավորված եւ հիասթափված եմ: Քանի այդ մարդը կա, ես Էջմիածնի եկեղեցի ոտք չեմ դնի: Թալանի մասին չեմ էլ ուզում խոսել: Պայքարի ելած մարդիկ բախումից հետո քաշվեցին բարիկադներից այն կողմ` Մյասնիկյանի արձանի մոտ: Երբ իմացանք, թե ինչ է կատարվում Մաշտոցի պողոտայում, ես շենքերի արանքով գնացի այնտեղ: Թալանչիները տարածքի թափթփուկներ կամ ուղարկված մարդիկ էին: Նրանցից ոչ մեկին հանրահավաքների ժամանակ չէի տեսել: Մարդ կար` խանութից ապրանքը հանում եւ հանգիստ դասավորում էր մեքենայի մեջ: Քիչ հեռվում ոստիկաններ էին կանգնած ու ոչ մի բան չէին անում: Ավելին` ամբողջ պրոցեսն օպերատորը նկարում էր, եւ մեկը չէր ասում` էս ի՞նչ ես անում, տղա ջան: Ծանր վիճակում ենք հայտնվել: Ասենք, մեկին թաղում չեն սիրում, նույնիսկ շատերն ատում են: Նա ի՞նչ սրտով այդ թաղի մարդկանց համար լավ բան կանի: Ուզենա էլ` չի կարող: Անկախ իրենից` ինչ-որ ներքին բան թույլ չի տա: Հիմա մեր իշխանություններն իրենց դրել են այսպիսի վիճակում: Ազգովի պետք է ոտքի կանգնենք, ուրիշ ելք չկա: Իրենց քայլերով մարդկանց ուղղակի դրդում են տեռորի: Ծեծվածների մեջ բազմաթիվ ազատամարտիկներ, հայրենիքի համար արյուն թափած տղերք կան: Նրանց մինչեւ հոգու խորքը վիրավորել ու նսեմացրել են: Ինչքա՞ն կարող է այսպես շարունակվել: Մի օր մեկն անկանխատեսելի հետեւանքներով ինքնագործունեության կդիմի: Դրա՞ն ենք սպասում: http://www.zhamanak.com/article/8646/

The software is needed for a friend(but soon for me too, as my norton antivirus will expire), according to him, he got no virus, but he can't get the pop-up blocker disabled, so he concluded that the reason is his recently installed antivirus software (AVS, if I am not mistaken). Vahe Avetian Armen Meliqian Alexandr Varpetian ALARM The signatories are intellectuals who have been subject to political persecution in post-Soviet Armenia. Herewith we’d like to deliver our message to the communities of Armenia and Diaspora, national institutions, cultural organizations, parties and state bodies, human rights organizations, writers’ unions around the world, as well as the democratic nations which have diplomatic relations with the Republic of Armenia: 1) Armenia is one of those post-Soviet republics where tyranny keeps hardening since the collapse of USSR and tends to transform into dictatorship. The organized persecution of intellectuals who dare expose and criticize the ruling junta’s criminal offence, large-scale theft of the national wealth intensifies day after day. 2) The persecution is instructed by the self-declared ruling clan in active cooperation with various state and non-state institutes, specifically National Security bodies, RA Police, Yerevan’s municipality, RA Prosecutor’s Office, Justice Ministry, etc. 3) The signatories have personally suffered from humiliating oppressions from the mentioned bodies. In Armenia, the persecution and oppression are expressed in various forms, such as: a. Confiscation of property and financial means; b. Expulsion from Armenia and organized impediment of any attempt to return; c. Interference with the activities of publishing houses and book stores to hamper the distribution and reading of our books in Armenia; d. Persecuting and terrorizing people who deal with the publication, distribution or promotion of our books: unlicensed intrusion into apartments, unsanctioned search of property resulting in stealth of important computer-stored information, confiscation of unpublished books and personal documents, filing false lawsuits, introducing false witnesses and terrorizing real ones, as well as their relatives, wiretapping, imprisonment or death threats, demand of huge bribes, ordering arrests, attempts to murder the authors by bribing or provoking their friends. 4) We are concerned by the attitude of the political organizations towards those who practice free speech and generate new ideas in the Armenian reality. We are upset by the consistent propaganda intended to demoralize the writers who expose the truth. We address all party leaders and members to give an adequate assessment of this kind of measures, to stop being the henchmen for the junta’s policy of silencing or subduing the Diaspora. 5) Over the past few years the Armenian mass media has been actively covering issues related to writers or other public figures who speak against existing taboos in foreign countries, especially Turkey. Unfortunately, with negligent but respectful exceptions, the intellectuals who try to overcome taboos in the Armenian reality are neglected altogether. We believe that the guarantee of free speech is of utmost importance for the national security of Armenia and Armenians. Therefore, those countries or parties that ignore it do not function for the benefit of the nation. 6) This is a time period when the corner stones of the motherland are laid for future generations, and the activities that such an irresponsible and immoral regime and the supporting organizations are unfolding against the actual benefits of the nation may lead to irreversible negative consequences. Realizing the paramount importance and urgency of building the motherland and preserving the achieved independence today, we address: a) The Armenians all over the world to attend to the protection of free speech in the Republic of Armenia, as well as the Diaspora. All the political organizations to reconsider their policy towards the junta tyrannizing Armenia, stop being their vassals abroad and disorienting other countries and the Armenians of Diaspora, stow the constant bawdry and defamation of writers in mass media, encourage the cultural organizations to study and publicize the works of writers who open new perspectives. c) Culturally-oriented unions to apply depoliticized, nonpartisan and unbiased approach to Armenian literature, to pay due attention to writers and artists who are abreast with the times and, why not, to raise the public’s awareness of their message. d) The Writers’ Union of Armenia and international organizations to take firm steps to guarantee the security of exiled e) International organizations to take corresponding steps to eliminate any obvious or hidden obstacles hampering writers’ rights including freedom of speech, to facilitate and secure the return of the exiled intellectuals to their motherland. f) Intellectuals who have suffered from intolerance and persecution under despotic regimes to join our forces and struggle for the right to free speech around the world. g) Freethinking Turkish writers to unite in the fight for the abolition of taboos both in Turkey and Armenia with the purpose of establishing real democracy and ensuring writers’ free speech and security. h) Governmental and non-governmental organizations of the EU, USA, France, Sweden and other democracies. Abusing the diplomatic and economic ties with these democratic countries, the incumbent junta endeavors to gain political capital to ensure continuity of its power. Any assistance to such antidemocratic and criminal group of people is against the national interests of the democratic countries. Any external force that indirectly supports the establishment and preservation of the illegal leadership infuriates the Armenian people. We bid your sympathy with the prevailing attitudes towards the abolition of the junta and coup d’état in the Republic of Armenia. i) The national security bodies of democratic countries to persecute and expose the agents and accomplices of the criminal leadership who threaten the right of these countries’ citizens to freedom of speech. Union of exiled Armenian writers and scholars: Vahe Avetian (Sweden), author of “Independence Army”, “EstablishMENT” , “Svartskalle”, “From here and there”, “Blatte”, “Baghdasar, Loki, Nils, Shvejk”.
