Thanks, both of my husbands grandmothers are still alive and often tell their stories of escaping to America. I keep telling my husband to video tape their stories to get for generations to come. It's been wonderful learning about the culture!

I'm Itailian, my husband 100% Armenian. The only thing he asked is that we get married and our children be baptised in the Armenian church. I am Roman Catholic, our children are being raised Catholic while celebrating both traditions. They attend both churches, (alternating) observing each of it's culture and traditions while at each church. ie our children receive "wine/bread" in the Armenian church, but not in the Catholic church until they formally receive first communion (in 2nd grade). We have 5 children, 4 have strong Armenian names and 1 has a strong Itailian name. They go to a private Catholic school, and attend Armenian Sunday school.

Thanks I do remember cleaning the towels of it's oils and usig the water to plant rose bushes for each child. However, in the Armenian church that my children were baptised, the white towel was required touse to wrap the babies as the are naked throughout the entire ceremony, only at the end do the dress. I had each of our 5 children's towels momogramed with their name and baptism date. I thought it would be nice for them to use at their children's baptism some day.

Hi I was wondering if anyone had or could write the significance of the white towel used during the baptism. I'm not Armenain (my husband is) I'm putting our children's baptism towels away for safe keeping and would like to include a note to pass along/use for their children. Thanks!
