  1. Vow of peace between Armenians and Ajeri's! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/3337361.stm
  2. I posted small reply in the thread. It has many grammer mistakes and spelling errors, but its still valid with some info I found online(More available in books and artcles). Do not bother arguing with the Turkish population, which we know are the most holiest of people, they would just bring you down to their level and beat with stupidity.
  3. Does anyone know how much in assest(Property, Tangiable Goods, and Currency) Armenians had during the Genocide? I have heard upwards of 5 billion or so, but is their a definite number we know of? If it is 5 billion that would be a lot of backpay if they were to compensate Armenians?
  4. I wonder if he will spill the beans on the entire international communities weapons deals with Iraq. It is evident from the news agencies of these nations that the race to accuse one another of having supplied him with the most arms is on.
  5. I hope this potential presidential candidate will end the forgotten fire between Armenians and Turks. The bigger governments are the ones that play these political tennis matches that end up creating more problems for everyone. I am positive that if the international community wanted to recognize the genocide, which is a violation of international human right laws, it would bring an age of peace in that region. Tragically, it does not push for reconcilation and forces two groups of people to hate one another for crimes commited by another government in an age of nationalistic ideals. RoA has tried its best to be civil and is trying to formalize relations, but what Turkey is asking in return is a disgrace to our people and our past. I would rather die then see the day that we have to swallow our pride and spit on the graves of our dead ancestors for the sake of opening borders. The Turkish government must fess up to its actions and as long as it does not people will look down on its countrie's past. Hitler once asked "who now remembers the Armenians?" and judging from the stance of the international community no one does.
  6. The Turkish people don't care and that is the problem. It has become much easier for their government to change history and that is the reason why we must not stop our struggle. Some beleive that this is about a body count, which it is not. If they had raped, murdered, and annilated 6 million Armenians it would not make a difference. This has gone beyond recognition in fact, who among the elderly victims are going to be alive once it is regnized? Everyday this crime goes unpunished makes it more easier for the Turkish government to forget about the problem and change their own roots. This is about the molestation of a culture by not just the Turk's, but the entire world. In fact I predict that in a thousand years from now Turks will have the nerve to state that they were the first Christian nation and that the ancient churches on their lands were created by them. I am pretty sure that they will lay claim to Erebuni as the ancient capital of their ancestors the Urartu. They will celebrate the 3700th annaversery of the capital that their forefathers built and will prove that Armenians and Russian commited a genocide against them, which by that time I am pretty sure that their won't be an Armenia because if they can get away with it once who knows how many times they can get away with it after that? Oh...wait that is already happening. Yeah I am sure one or two post in the newspapers is suppose to reflect the mass killings. It seems to me they are sprinkling some more intellectual MSG in an futile attempt to not anger Armenians.
  7. Hi, I checked CNN and other American news agencies and found no mention of this important acheivment. I wonder why? I have trolled on these boards for a while now or so and what I am noticing is that Armenians are giving up the struggle and they should not be blamed because it is mainly outside forces who are responsible, who try to divide and conquer. That region of the world is a very important gem and could make or break economies. It is right in front of the Caspian, which coincidently is the biggest oil producing region. It is the gateway to trade and foriegn markets. It essential is the key to east and a path to Europe. In fact I can go as far as saying that Greater Armenia if reunited with Lesser Armenia would make RoA one of the most important nations in the world and even more important then Eastern Turkey(Greece). We must never stop our rights to get our land, culture, and history back. The Genocide is a crucial step for Armenians and if acknowledged would place a negative spotlight on many countries and religions, who claim to be humanitarian. It is no suprise that they are stalling and attemping to destroy our history and land, which is the symbol of our claims to our roots. Although, WE MUST NOT blame the people of Turkey(THEY ARE MISINFORMED) for their angst because they do not want to be labeled as murderers(EVEN THOU HISTORICALLY THEY ARE BARARIANS AND I MEAN THAT LITERALLY). WE SHOULD blame their government. If they were smart they would place the blame on the Ottomman Empire and should struggle along side Armenians, but with a failing economy recognition payments would bankrupt an already toilet bowl economy. It is evident that they are playing America for aid and EU for acceptence. Eventually, they will pick a side. They have been burning bridges, while Armenians(Diaspera Armenians + Soviet Armenians = Armenians) have been creating them. Sweeden is a big player in the game and it is an important step. Things are going to get alot worse before they get better and we must hold out. We must hold out because many people have given their lives for the struggle of recognition. We must hold out because everything that we ever have been and ever will be is at stake. We must hold because we have been here for 3000 years and we will be here for another 3000(technically 6000, but until we get our lands back). I feel that everyone on this site care about their country and origins. They are true patriots and even if some ideas might seem like a rebellion of the norm. We must not forget that great men (Monte Melkonyan, American Fore Fathers, Etc..) were once given these labels. In our past Armenians have held an empire that matched only Rome, Armenian Kings bleed along side French Kings, Armenians were the first merchants in the East, Armenian generals and engineers contributed to Mother Russia, Christian Armenians coexiste with Persian Muslims (Religion has distorted ties between us), Armenians are brothers to Assyrians, and the list goes on(art, literature, music, and science). Armenians will continue to pass any obsticles placed in front of us because we are Armenain, because we are Araratian, and most importantly because we are one of the few nations who have a history that can not be destroyed by any army.
