  1. very bright. wish you the best of luck.
  2. As much as we'd like to say we're the same, blah blah... we're not and each "type" of armenian, chooses their "type" over the other. most persian armenians mesh well with persian armenians, hayastanci's w/ hayastanci's and beriutahyes w/ beirutahyes. and that's bcuz each group grows up in their own crowd and feels more comf w/ what theyre familiar with. that's reality people, look around you a little hard and youll see the differentiation, and how each sect is isolated from one another... to a certain extent of course. and this is GENERALLY speaking, it's not for a certain few people who understand that hyeh, hye e. And Extra, it's sad to hear that it happened to you personally, but dont take it personally, it's not too uncommon. it's not a perfect world out there.
  3. Stormy, It's not a matter of being "pleased" with the fact that an Armenian isn't "lost" but another is "gained" ohh, so sentimental. It's a matter of questioning the motive behind a person leaving their own identity and conforming to another. Edward, What's stereotypical? It's a fact, an African American man, has an African American identity, an African American past. ....oh, I'm glad I amaze you. yes, i agree, "disown" might be strong of a word. Yet, If one chooses to name his kids "Sevaq or Armond speaking Arevelkian Hayaren" and change his life around revolving the Armenian culture, then one leaves a part of himself. no one has to agree with me. everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
  4. Sev-Mard Not to be the devils advocate but I have never understood, nor will I ever understand how, or actually WHY odars, such as yourself, leave their own culture and come into the Armenian culture. How do you disown your own culture so easily ?
