  1. Centuries ago, Armenian musicians music was taken and called Turkish under Turkish rule. They would force Armenian musicians to change their names to Turkish names, thereby taking credit to Armenian music. Is it Turkish music or Armenian?

  4. I'm sorry, I gave the link to Part II, this is the link from Part I, read part I first and you can be directed to Part II from this link. http://www.socialfunds.com/news/article.cgi/1681.html I am not saying it is bad for Armenia to have oil, the message I'm trying to present is should it be mismanaged, the oil company will contaminate Armenia's environment. Even to "properly" dispose the biproduct of oil drilling, it will still cause harm, but minimal. However, it is all about money, the company to drill oil out of Armenia may possibly not "properly" dispose the biproduct and cause more harm to our environment in Armenia. Armenia is a tiny country, to contaminate our dirt, soil and water will cause great harm to the nation's people, our relatives, our brothers and sisters that live in Armenia.
  5. This may not all be good news. I'm don't know much about oil drilling, however, our Mayor in Salt Lake City is urging Alaska not to allow oil drilling in one of their oil deposits. The reason he is doing that is because he says it is going to pollute and harm the environment there. Now, if the U.S. is harming it's own environment, and a foreign company is drilling out of Armenia, I'm pretty sure they will care much less about harming Armenia's environment. http://www.socialfunds.com/news/article.cgi/1682.html Read that article, that is an example of companies drilling oil in foreign lands, and then polluting.

  8. /PanARMENIAN.Net/ Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Vuk Draskovic said that Kosovo may be an example for Nagorno Karabakh. The Minister said that in case that Kosovo achieves its independence it will be a precedent for Nagorno Karabakh and other unrecognized institutions in the post soviet space. He said that while discussing Moldova’s sovereignty and integrity Serbia voted for such kind of resolution. The Minister said it is ‘impossible to agree to Kosovo’s independence even theoretically.’ “We will not allow Kosovo’s accession to the UN and organizations supporting the sovereignty of states openly. We will keep to this principle even in the most severe diplomatic struggle,” the minister said. Vuk Draskovic said if the UN grants independence to Kosovo, it will be an example for Transdniestria, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Nagorno Karabakh, Northern Cyprus, Basque in Spain and even Ireland. “I counted. Nearly 40 regions of the world may achieve independence,” the Minister said, reports the Azeri Press. http://www.panarmenian.net/news/eng/?nid=19929 What do you all think about this? I don't think that Karabagh should be part of Armenia under the Republic of Armenia, not it's own separate state.
  9. Never mind again, I found really fast after I took a uick little break.
  10. Wait, not DZ I meant SH in Shun (dog).
  11. Where is the letter DZ as in Dzerk (hand) on Armenian unicode? I got it to work and have began writing my letters, however, I am unable to continue because I can't find that letter. I'm using the phonetic.
  12. Okay, never mind, I need help now. I found armunicode.org and followed the directions and installed everything, however, now I do not know how to turn on Armenian language now, I went to Regional and Language Options and added it, but I don't know how to turn it on.
  13. It seems like a long process, dont' waste your time telling me how to, I'm googling it right now, I'll probably figure it out. If I have problems, I'll ask you, thank you very much, I really appreciate you telling me about unicode.
  14. How do I use unicode? I am using windows XP. Also, how will I have to write in order for my cousin in Armenia to read what I'm writing?
  15. That is funny. I congratulate Orhan Pamuk, I think he is a very good man.
  16. Does anyone know how I can type with Armenian NLS in Microsoft Word?
  17. I get an error that says "The procedure entry point MakeCriticalSectionGlobal could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll."
  18. Wow, someone else that is just like me. It'll be three months tomorrow and I just got done looking at all 1200+ pictures with a tear in my eye. I will go see my cousins again this summer, however, I know that this time it will be much much, more difficult. I don't know what is going to be of me a year from now after my second visit. Are you going to come to the U.S. soon? Really, it is true, it feels like who are you living for without your family.
  19. I thought Utah's desert was beautiful, it is, but when I went to Armenia and going through the roads of Dilijian, the road to Haghpat, Haghpat, Garni Geghard, nothing in Utah compares to the beautifulness of what Armenia had to offer though, you probably agree.
  20. I live right here in Utah and never have been to Moab, nice pictures though, that looks fun.
  21. I like the CSUF program through Birthright Armenia, I think that will defnitely suit me best, however, it is only open to Juniors and Seniors, I'm a freshman right now, but I will still contact them so they know me and who I am, that way I will increase my chances of being accepted for the program two years from now. I am going to go to Armenia this May again, until August, approximately 12 weeks, I will look around for jobs and such to see what there is out there for me. I do not want to stay in the U.S., if I have a family, they will lose all customs, culture and values. My older brother already has, and I know I'm still young, but I don't want my kids to be the same way. Also, armenia is my homeland, it is where I am supposed to be, it currently has a negative population growth rate, there will be no Armenia if every continues to leave.
  22. Whoa, that is a fairly expensive summer study abroad from Glendale Community College. Thank you very much for the information, I appreciate, I'm looking at the web-site right now.
