I read an article in a Russian paper here in New York, by an Armenian writer, that Baku has made a decision to pave over the historically Armenian cemetary, 'Narimanovskoe kladbische', to make a street. And being the 'nice' people they are, they said that any Armenians who want to come to Baku and re-bury their loved ones, can do so. Has anyone heard about this? To say that I was sick when I read this article would be an under-statement. My grandfather is burried there, so is my great-grandmother, and many other relatives and friends. It took year to accept that their headstones were probably broken, because a lot of that was going on. But to think that their grave will be paved, and cars will be driving back and forth is just unimaginable! Alex
