The Assyrians (also known as Syriacs, Arameans, Chaldeans) are the neighbours of the Armenians and come from southeastern Turkey, northwestern Iran, north Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. They don't have a land. They had before - Assyria, but it's gone since 612 BC. Through the years 1914-1923 1,5-2 millions Armenians where slaughted by the ottoman turks, kurds and other barbaric folks. The responsible for the genocide are the turkish government. Well ofcourse, you know all that. What many many Armenians and possibly you DON'T know is that the Assyrians got murdered to. 500 000 - 750 000 innicent Assyrians got killed. Let us not forget the Greeks (also known as Hellenics) to. Many greeks died. Today, there is a Greece, and there is an Armenia. But there is no Assyria. And there is no one that recognize the Assyrian Genocide. Armenia of all countries would be the first one to recognize it, but they haven't. (yet). In the armenian-canadian film Ararat from 2002 they say the Armenian Genocide all the time. The Greeks were mentioned one time. But the Assyrians.... none. The Genocide of the years 1914-1923 should be called The Armenian-Assyrian-Hellenic Genocide.
