SECRET LOBBYIST REVEALED Turkish Daily News Turkish Press Scanner Friday, June 22, 2007 History professor Taner Akcam who resides in the U.S., declared that the person who has been defending Turkey against Armenian genocide claims using the nickname "Holdwater" is Murad Gumen, wrote daily Hurriyet yesterday. Gumen continued in his fathers steps defending Turkey with his writings on his web site www.tallarmeniantale.com, reported the daily. Murad Gumen's father moved to the U.S in 1954 and died there seven years ago. However Taner Akcam, who is known for his pro-Armenian studies, wrote an article named 'Holdwater = Murad Gumen" and revealed Gumen's name. Following this action, campaigns were launched against him, claimed Hurriyet. According to the report Gumen claimed that he decided to keep his name a secret after what happened to Stanford Shaw, a professor from Harvard, whose house in the U.S. was bombed in 1977 when he opposed the Armenian genocide arguments.

Armenia, France To Issue Joint Postage Stamps On Tuesday
Lev7 replied to Yervant1's topic in Republic of Armenia
what's the point of these stamps? All the energy and time spent on those things can be invested in our economy, I don't see France investing heavily in Armenia, our diaspora in France should put some effort into those issues more -
I don't think burning the Turkish flag helps our cause, it puts us in the same basket as those Arabs burning American and Israeli flags, lets try to be more civilized

This Turkish newspaper, Sabah, quotes a Swede as saying in 1917 that there was no Armenian "genocide": http://english.sabah.com.tr/C4213D15C63E42...DB290E142A.html The word, "Genocide" was invented in the 1940's

Washington, DC -- The Armenian Assembly today, commended North Dakota State Representatives Lyle Hanson (D-Jamestown) and Joe Kroeber (D-Jamestown) and State Senator David Nething (R-Jamestown) for introducing House Concurrent Resolution No. 3003, which proclaims April 24 as a day of remembrance of the Armenian Genocide. The bill approved by the Legislative Assembly of North Dakota notes that “the killing of the Armenian people was accomplished by the systematic destruction of churches, schools, libraries, treasures of art, and cultural monuments in an attempt to eliminate all traces of a noble civilization with a history of more than 3,000 years.” With the passage of this bill, North Dakota joins 39 other states that have already affirmed the Armenian Genocide. The Armenian Assembly is the largest Washington-based nationwide organization promoting public understanding and awareness of Armenian issues. It is a 501©(3) tax-exempt membership organization.

Genocide is Genocide, it does not matter if it happened after the term was coined, even Raphael Lemkin said that the Armenian Genocide falls under the category of Genocide

So, are they recognizing the Genocide or trying to trick Armenians again? http://www.eliewieselfoundation.org/PressR...onciliation.pdf

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The U.S. tops the Grant Thornton International Super Growth Index for the third year running. 44% of US companies hit 'super growth' status, an increase of 5% over the previous year. The Index measures the country with the highest proportion of "super growth" companies. This year Armenia (38%) has replaced India in second position. 'Super growth' companies are defined as those which have grown considerably more than average. To identify 'super growth' companies, Experian Business Strategies, the economics consultancy, took four key indicators to create a weighted index. The four indicators were: absolute growth in turnover (adjusted for inflation); the percentage growth in turnover (adjusted for inflation); absolute growth in employee numbers; the percentage growth in employee numbers. By this measure, 23% of all privately held businesses surveyed worldwide are classified as 'super growth'. http://www.gti.org/pressroom/articles/pr_03282007.asp

Is he blocked for good? Isn't it bad for Armenia that it does not have a U.S. ambassador? What is the next step?
