  2. Now you mention it, Nikolaus/Nicolaus means victory of the people in Greek. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikolaos Your sources indicate that St. Nicholas was Greek, but born in Turkey. Obviously, that's the reason why people say he's Turkish, while he really is not. Does this mean that there's more in me than Armenian blood ? That can't be. There are more Armenian surnames that are patronymics from non-Armenian personal names.
