uhu...thank you, that means, armenians are celebrating almost the same religious things like other orthodox (except christmas, I celebrate it on 7th january)... there are 2 armenian churches here in vienna, one apostolic, the other catholic...i was just a bit confused, because someone say´s apostolic church, to the same church, someone else calls orthodox church...but thank you, i understand it now! thanks!

i would like to know this: sometimes i am reading armenian apostolic church, than armenian orthodox church, and then apostolic orthodox church...are they now orthodox??? i know some armenians, and they are all armenian orthodox, except 2 armenian girls i know, they are catholic... please help me, i´m a bit confused...

yeah...i was often on the old forum...but i don´t like the new one...i´m sometimes there...

i was reading about the armenian weddings...and it´s like the serbian weddings...first, we have to go to the brides house...there, we have to pay for her. and when they accept the price, they are all going in the house, where they are sitting and drinking some alkohol (it´s called rakija), the man gives the brides family presents...and then they go to church, the normal ceremony, and then a great party... and after the meal, some ppl go around with the couple, and a girl holds a plate, and everyone have to give money on the plate...that´s a serbian wedding...much more things happen there, but that´s a bit too much... i like weddings a lot...i would like to see an armenian too...my ex girlfriend (she is armenian), told me, how her father was some years ago on an armenian wedding in las vegas, and it was very beautiful...i saw many pictures of the wedding

thanks!!! i didn´t know anything about the genocide...i am very interested in history...but i never heared about the genocide in the school, then i saw this little note, on the st soad cd... "system of a down would like to dedicate this song to the memory of the 1.5 million victims of the armenian genocide, perpetrated by the turkish gov. in 1915"...so i got into it... soad are doing a good thing...and they are really helping to get the genocide recognized...and the music is awesome...i am sad, that i didn´t saw them live...i hope they´ll come to vienna in some years...

i was looking through the list, searching for system of a down...and I have not found them...so I thought I should mention them... Shavo Odadjian, John Dolmayan, Serj Tankian, Daron Malakian... ps: don´t get mad at me, if i am not the first one, who mentioned them, but I did not saw it...
