I'm explaining an expression used by people to someone who is not you. White men complain all the time, it's a newer trend but it's catching on in popularity, I'm sure you're aware of it. Furthermore, 90% of the time it is African-Americans that complain about racism. Asians are as "different" as you, but yet, they are moving up on the worldstage. Hell, thirty years ago there was no Chinese millionares, but today there ARE LOTS OF CHINESE BILLIONARES! Lastly, stop making it seem like I am this racist person because frankly, everytime anyone complains of the actions of African-Americans the race card is always brought up, please, stop acting like victims. If anyone is the victim it is the poor white bracket that goes through the same poverity stricken life in order to make somthing of themselves, so, if there is any discrimination it is due to income. Just because I Have the balls to call a spade a spade does not mean I am "rebelling", but the fact that most Armenians have their tales between legs when it comes to issues like this goes to show that we have truly failed as a people. Furthermore, my family came here with nothing, but yet today as a first generation Armenian in this country I have succeeded where most African-Americans fail. If African-Americans get some benefits due to their skin, I, as a Armenain, get nothing, but yet I am not the one calling White Americans racist or all kinds of things. First born of my immigrant parents I had to learn what it was like to be "American Black" as my upbringing was markedly different. So I'm trying to raise that quota of successful Blacks, I don't sit and complain about, I try and do work and show results. The term simply refers to the fact that for many years, namely the most important of post-slavery, Reconstruction, etc. The government and society went out of it's way to impose sanctions, laws, unwritten practices that hindered blacks from ever getting a good footing. This is by no way an excuse, I don't believe in that, but it's what my statement is based on. I'm sure you'll have another tangent, but that's the basic answer to my question. I'm not complaining about white people, and the Man, believe me, that's weak I'm not wasting my time on that. You as an Armenian who gets "nothing" is actually probably better off than legions of blacks who's ancestors were robbed, and denied many things. I don't complain about racism and white people and being held back, I move foward. I know BLACK PEOPLE do that, but as I said earlier, I'm here, so why don't you deal with me? Notice the smiley race on my reply to Stormig? Notice the joking tone? Notice it didn't become all of this drama before you got excited? Probably not, but I just thought I'd note it.
