About "ararat"

The TV program "Objectif" of Turkish television was devoted Thursday January 15 to the Armenians in general and the Ararat film in particular, the film of Atom Egoyan whose exit in Turkey was deferred following the death threats uttered by extremists Turkish against the directors of the movie theaters. Leaving the subject somewhat, the organizer of the emission was let go to rather displeasing remarks with regard to France, shown finger to have recognized the genocide. Televiewers being able to intervene with the antenna, a representative of the embassy from France in Ankara telephoned, insistent on the fact that to be able to integrate the European Union, Turkey was first of all to recognize the Armenian genocide. A rather surging exchange followed between the French representative and the Turkish organizer who quite simply put an end to the discussion while hanging up again with the nose of the diplomat.
