The Turkish translation of thethree-volume collection of archival documents including 1916-1917evidences about the Armenian Genocide will be introduced to the world.As reports "Armenpress", the presentation of the Turkish version of"The Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire:Testimonies of the survivors" will take place on July 3 at 19:00 in"Arno Babajanyan" small Philharmonic Concert Hall. The publisher ofthe Turkish translation Ragip Zarakolu, translator Tiran Lokmagyozyan,Director of National Archives of Armenia Amatuni Virabyan, "Van"NGO Honorable Chairman Ruben Galchyan will present the publicationin 1,500 copies.As Ruben Galchyan said in an interview with "Armenpress", the Turkishversion of the book was published four days ago, in association withthe human rights defender and publisher Ragip Zarakolu and sponsoredby Gulbenkian Institution in Lisbon, and has not been yet distributedto the bookstores. "The Russian translation of the book is ready,but not published. He has arrived in Armeniato participate in the presentation of the Turkish edition of the"Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey: Testimonies of the Survivors."In 2012 Van publishing house issued the three-volume work titled"Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey: Testimonies of the Survivors,"which presents eyewitness accounts of the Genocide, valuable archivedocuments, maps and photos. In 2013 the book was published in English,and now it's available in Turkish, as well."I was greatly excited by the content of this book, because it includesinterviews made in 1916, i.e. immediately after the Genocide.This is a very valuable document against Turkish denialism,"Zarakolu said."This is denialism: once you lie, you have to do that constantly. Thisis Turkey's policy, which I have been fighting for years," he said.Zarakolu and his wife have been persecuted in Turkey because of theiractivity. He has published a number of books on the Armenian Genocide,and this one will come to enrich the list of banned literature inTurkey.
