TURKISH GENOCIDE DENIER BANNED ENTRY TO ARMENIAN CHURCH

Turks residing in Germany have refused to meet with a senior opposition
figure who is now on a visit to Cologne, Demokrathaber.net reported.

Kemal Kilicdaraoglu, who heads Republican People's Party (CHP), left
for Germany for negotiations to secure votes for their presidential
nominee. After visiting the Federation of Alevi Unions, Greek and
Assyrian churches, he expressed a desire to meet with the local
Armenians. But the prelacy rejected his request, citing his party's
stance on the Armenian Genocide issue.

"Kilicdaraoglu's request for visiting the Armenian church was rejected
by the religious prelacy. As long as Kilicdaraoglu and the Republican
People's Party leadership deny the fact of the Armenian Genocide,
it isn't appropriate to host them here," a prelacy representative
was quoted as saying.
