Guest
Man, you're just one big ray of sunshine lately! Do you mean like an old Armenian remedy? Like take-three-cloves-of-garlic-and-wave them-in-the-air-type of remedy? I don't know any for colds but a thread on Old Armenian Remedies sounds like a good idea. BTW, those too are drugs just in their natural form . Take Tylenol Sinus. It really helps me (I don't like taking over-the-counter stuff either). There's always Vitamin C. I did hear recently that resting in bed does not help. Doesn't hurt, but doesn't help either. Quit hanging out with that friend! Feel Better. Guest
I had SUCH a good day today!! Overall it was fabulous. But what really made my day was the excellent session I had with one of my kids. His level of functioning was higher today than I've EVER seen, which lead to awesome interaction and excellent communication. He's a very affectionate kid on the whole, but today he was all smiles, hugs and kisses ALL THE TIME. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside...lol...God, I love my job! Guest
I used to hate my job until last week. the sign is of me being sick, that's why the little man is green, and it's not smiling, the corners of the mouth should be down. My manager above me was giving me gyp, he still does but the difference is I know how to handle him now so that's Ok. PADDINGTON GREEN Anyway there is this little docu-soap on the TV (That is, it's a mini doumentary soap , of ordinary people volunteering to show their ordinary day-to-day lives on it) It is called Paddington Green and It's about people living in West London. You get lots of funny, extroverted characters on it. It's a little trashy, so Kazza loves it. The majority or the Armenian poulation in London is in West London. There is a Russian family, but no armenians. This will never do! It would really make my day (Ithought so at the time) so I went to their website and emailed them all the include Armenians in it and why. I half wish i never did it now. So if you see it and there are armenians on it you will know who to blame, it's all my fault. But it's for a good cause
Guest
I helped my sister change the water in her frog-tank. I must say - its much easier with fish, they can't jump so high !!! He he he ... A PS. Overall, a nice-relaxing-ridiculous-amount-of-TV-watching-weekend

Guest
They sound like African frogs. Do they have very webbed feet that look like swim fins? I had those with fish in a tank at one time, but didn't have much success. I think my tank was too tall and they had a hard time swimming to the top. Poor things. quote:Originally posted by Sulamita: I used distilled water from the frig. I debated about this at one time for my frogs/toads/gecko. I ended up using bottled drinking water. I figured they need the minerals that aren't present in distilled water. Knock wood--four years later they're all very healthy. I'm just very tired of having to go and buy crickets every week. Guest
quote:Originally posted by Pilafhead: Hey, now! What kind of frogs does she have???I am not sure. They are very tiny, live in water, jump real high and act really strange. When I "transferred" them to another tank (filled with fresh water) they stopped moving. (Catching them was a challenge by itself). For a minute there I thought I had killed the poor creatures. My sister gave me a "I-can't-believe-you-killed-my-froggies-look" Thank GOD, they started moving around after a short while. I think they were getting used to the temperature. I used distilled water from the frig. Anyhow, they are cute little things if you like slippery creatures A
Guest
LEILA.... incredible...all that a woman should be...by far, the classiest entertainer i've seen in middle eastern circles the reason i'm not posting this under music but under this particular topic: every time i see her, i discover a new side to her image..admire her not only as an entertainer, but as a woman...i never tire of seeing her perform or speak on tv (and i don't understand a word she says)...and usually people bore me quite easily, women as well as men just now her music video was on the armo channel (simultaneous with my being on hyeforum), they're plugging her valentine's day performance...hence, this commentary anyway, this woman impresses me, and there are practically no women i ever say that about... incredible.. Nané
First day at a new job ... 90% of the new hires are armenian After a few of us introduced ourselves and stated that we were from Armenia, the instructer blurted out "Damn, are there any people left in Armenia?" We laughed and moved on ... But it left a sad feeling inside. Oh well ... ~A~ PS. I think I reached my 500-th post

Gayane
Visited a Spanish Mission today (San Fernando, Rey de Espana was the official name of the mission--as if there was any need to clarify who fernando is...I got a kick out of it ). A perfectly delightful way to spend 5 hours of a Monday morning (it had a giftshop, a museum, a church, and the grounds of course, complete with the cemetery, so there was plenty to do). A strange sidenote: while on the grounds of the cemetery, I saw a white butterfly fly by but by the time I looked up there was no trace of it. I wasn't alone in seeing it, but it didn't seem real, almost transparent. It was decided it was somebody's spirit saying "hello", as I put it. hehe, I now have a beautiful rosary to show for my trip to San Fernando, Rey de Espana...lol..it really is beautiful just thought i'd share (I'd recommend the mission to anyone, it was charming)
Pilafhead
Gayane, What made you go there??? It IS a pretty mission, but I grew up about five minutes from there and wouldn't think of going. I guess I take it for granted. Mike
Gayane
Well, Mikey, I've always wanted to see what a Catholic church looks/feels like, and this one was of special significance. Plus I love exploring what you would call "spiritual" places: churches, cemeteries, etc...my trip to the buddhist temple I won't even talk about...lol.. Allow me to get a little weird: I have a very strong sense of energy fields and get all kinds of vibes from different places and people. This particular mission had a very healing energy to it....although the cemetery was very tumultuous Anyway, short answer to your question: my fascination with the spiritual realm
