What should I do?

I have become a horrible example of a person who balances personal and professional life.

i wake up at 6:30, watch the market open, shower, go to work, work from 8:30 till 11PM earliest to 3-4AM and come home and sleep. this is every weekday.

dont get me wrong. I love what I do and enjoy the company much, but how long can one do this without going insane?

ufffffffffff i dont know.

Nairi jan, we are a small company that is competing with Google(and kicking their ass up and down the street so far) so we cant let down. we have to make sure we keep our edge or we mind as well just pack up and go. So it is not just me working this hard but everyone in my group

I will say one thing... if this company does not take off then i will for sure be seeing a psychiatrist

Wow, that's a pretty tough competition. So you're not working on sexcams anymore? :P

Anyway, lots of luck on this project! Hope you can keep your head sane in the meantime. And don't forget to keep us posted when the project takes off, so we can join in in some serious Google butt kicking. :starwars: :D

I just did Harut jan. I am going ot the convelecent home to find me a RICH old woman who is ready to pop

She'd better be good and rich.... but be careful - sometimes they can keep on tickin' for another several years. Not everyone is a lucky as (was) Anna Nicole Smith. Then again, Karma's a bitch. :P

Azat - if you love what you do, than I don't see a problem unless it becomes totally exaggerated (which, by the way you describe it, it seems to be on the cusp). Maybe you can carve out yourself a nice retirement at 50 - that would be worth it.... just don't sacrifice health.

Jesus!!!!! 11pm at night? so how can 3-4am be earlier than 11pm? if you mean the latest 3-4am well....you must be making a pretty penny. From my experience people that work long hours like you, have your talents and intellect are financially comfortable, but most don't think that they are comfortable enough.

I guess it's a matter of priorities. For some it's important to maintain a certain lifestyle, which requires major expenses, some others just want more money because they like the idea of accumulating substantial capital, and do it for the sake of money alone, others are simply workaholics. For all of the cases mentioned above, if one really feels dissatisfied they can just slow down and change their path but they chose to suffer. Some sort of fear or perhaps masochism that keeps them in that position.

Azatyush, did you change jobs? I thought your company was rather big.

I found that some of the wealthiest people are not serious intellectuals, but are very business savvy. Usually small business owners, particularly construction business. Azatyush, have you ever thought of changing your career? :)

I'm doing alright - a little tired maybe... :) But the upcoming long weekend will help!

As for you - I wish you a happy retirement a few short years away!

Evul jan, What I ment was 11PM is the earliest I get home on weekdays. 3-4AM on some occations.

I am not wealthy nor am I making a pretty penny :(. thats the sad part. Dont get me wrong I make a very good salary but can get a job within a month making 30-40% more easy, but this job has huge possibilities.

the company I work for is about 230 employees. when I started a year ago we were under 100. My group is 45 as of today. so its pretty big

how is everything with you sweetie. I hope you are well.

So this is a new job. I'm glad you left your old job, your dear Hasmik was giving you some serious nightmares as I recall. Azatyushkin, from under 100 to 230, you must be a tremedous asset to increase the number that significantly, I am sure with that number comes a set of other numbers with $ signs for the company.

I am just waiting for you to open your little wine bodega so that I can come and try some Merlotttt....

Everything is fine and dandy. Just got a new stove so I am a happy little Betty Crocker, that's all a simple woman needs, a nice stove.

NO, no, not at all. A good stove can really improve the quality of your life and your cooking, delivering a temporary materialistic pleasure.

I think I would have preferred sealed burners though.... Don't I sound neat?

How is your little cookie? Adorable as a button I bet.

As if everything else in my life was perfect, now I have developed allergies to something. And not the kind where you get watery eyes or sneezing, but I get HUGE swellings on different parts of my body. I can take Benadryl for a day and it goes away but sure enough 4-5 days later I get it someplace else. The swellings have happened on my hands, feet, back, chest, back of the head(scared the crap out of me), tongue(had to go to the emergency room for that because I could not breath), and most recently on my left eye lids. I cant open my eye today…
