Arpa
THE PATRIARCH POPE IS OLD Once in 600 years the Pope is resigning..http://news.yahoo.com/benedict-conservative-whose-papacy-dogged-scandal-143749546.html I can’t find it now, nor do I remember who had written it. A long time ago I read an article that dealt with the condition of the Patriarch. The Patriarch was old, perhaps with Alzheimer or a cerebral stroke. He could not speak coherently, he blabbered and slurred. Yet he could not be replaced, since according to the Church Canon a Patriarch will only be replaced after his last breath, even if it may be sustained by artificial means.Remember Patriarch Torgom of Jerusalem who was disabled for over a year, yet a new Patriarch would not be elected until He was pronounced medically dead.Consider also the case of the Patriarch of Bolis, Mutafian. I don’t know the nature of his illness and disability. Is it medical or political? But as long as he is still breathing on his own there cannot be an election for a replacement, only a Locum Tenens, a Teghapah, keeper of the place. Arpa
All of the below may be funny, but this?Cardinal turkson?Once again, this proves that Santa Claus was furkish. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Louis_Cardinals http://allymalinenko.files.wordpress.com/2012/11/northern_cardinal_1.jpg?w=300&h=264 http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/PHOTO/LARGE/northern_cardinal_1.jpghttp://www.catholicpressphoto.com/college_of_cardinals__pictures.htmAll of the above may be funny, but this is not funny when an African Cardinal, believed by many to be a likely contender of all others is named Turkson http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Turkson http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/ae/Cardinal_Tukson_987.jpg
Arpa
Praise da lawd. Allahu -akbar, subhan allah, Metsn Astuats, Ter Voghoria, Lord Have Mercy. In the latest buzz about the Papal elections, mercifully we don’t see the name of that Ghanaian so called bishop - turk-son, son of a turk. What else does turk-son mean in the Ghanaian language? When did Africans become Christian, much less Catholic? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Turkson It was scary enough that someone with turk in his name would be a contender for the supreme chair of Christendom. Also note that his given name is Peter, as in St. Peter, the fabled founder of the Vatican. Is that why many of our Catholic Armenian bishops take the name Bedros/Petros at their ordination?** If they intend to be known as PETRO/ROCK. How about renaming themselves APARAZH? This is even scarier that, during my lifetime he has been in my backyard.Turkson was born in Wassaw Nsuta in Western Ghana to a Methodist mother and a Catholic father.[6] He is the fourth child among ten children. His mother sold vegetables in the open market while his father worked as a carpenter. He had a paternal uncle who was a Muslim.[7] He studied at St. Teresa's Seminary in the village of Amisano and Pedu before attending St. Anthony-on-Hudson Seminary in Rensselaer, New York, where he graduated as a Master of Theology. During this time he also took summer coursework at the University at Albany. He was ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop John Amissah on 20 July 1975.** http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hovhannes_Bedros_XVIII_Kasparian
