Guest
MJ you can scan it at 150DPI and email me the pictures. I'll optimize it and put on our web site. You can save it as .jpg file.I emailed Souren about Armenian OCR software and didn't get answer.

Guest
Just for a thought! We know that Tigran the Great had settled about 300,000 Jews in the area of Van. We also know that Thamar is a Jewish name. Any associations?
Guest
I knew there should be some connections between Vanetsi and Jews. MJ jan that clears everything.
Guest
Alpha, on a half-joke and half-serious note, I think there is. A lot of their character features were indeed common. I think you have indicated this in one of your previous postings, too. The anecdote was that when two Vanetsi used to come across on the street, the question they used to ask each other was not "how are you," or "how is your family," but "how much is the gold, today?" - "tjotjagha, deghin kani e?"
