MosJan Posted December 18, 2001 Report Share Posted December 18, 2001 BEAST ON THE MOON SHOWN IN PARIS YEREVAN, DECEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS The 'Beast on the Moon', a recently completed movie, describing the story of a young couple that managed to escape the Armenian Genocide of 1915, was demonstrated at Paris Cinematography Hall lately with Armenia's ambassador to France Edward Nalbandian and the head of the French-German ARTE TV Jerome Clement participating. According to the foreign affairs ministry public relations department, the film was shot by the ARTE TV and Trans Europe Film Company on the basis of the American playwright Richard Kalinoski's play. The movie was shot in 2001 when France officially recognized the Armenian genocide, committed by the Turkish government in the last years of the Ottoman empire.
