Poul, as far as i know, currently there is no such a thing in Armenia.

the system used to exist during Soviet era, but i think not now.

if you want to send a mail, you just write

Street Name Building Number - Appartement Number

City, Country

Thanks, Harout

I want to write a friend of mine

in Yerevan. however, I have only the

number of the building, and the street

name. I do not have the apartment number

Do you think it would matter if I sent

the letter to Yerevan with no apartment

number. will the post office deliver it?

Thank you for your assistance.

yes, and i used to live in Yerevan 38 area.

just like i said. there used to be a system, and this was it. those numbers used to indicate which post office the mail should be delivered to.

but i don't know if it exist. even if it does, excluding it would not harm.

mi bur azgenq, vonts el lini namakd tegh k'hasni.

in fact, most villges don't even have street names and numbers. you just include the person's name, village, region, country, and that's it.

Paul, i have no idea. i can't tell.

in other hand, if your friend's name is Robert Kocharian, then you just write the country.
