MosJan Posted July 6, 2001 Report Share Posted July 6, 2001 ARMEN GHAZARIAN WINS WORLD CHAMPION TITLE YEREVAN, JULY 4, ARMENPRESS Armen Ghazarian, an Armenian weight-lifter in 62 kg weight category, won the world championship for juniors in Salonik (Greece). Another Armenian sportsman of the same weight category Arthur Danielian became the winner of a bronze medal, while Makar Tamrazian from Gyumri won a silver medal.Armenian sportsmen haven't had such bright results for a long time. There are 8 Armenian weight-lifters competing in Salonik and this is not the final result. Nevertheless, the Armenian team has already gained a high place in the competition.
