MosJan Posted February 2, 2002 Report Share Posted February 2, 2002 Seven Athletes To Represent Armenia At Salt Lake City Olympics YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)—Armenia will be represented by seven athletes at the Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City Utah. The athletes are skiers Aram Gajiyan and Margarit Nikolian; alpine skiers Arsen Haroutiunian and Vanessa Rakejian (she lives in France); the bobsled team-Daniel Janjikian and Jorgos Alexandru (both from the US); and figure-skater Yulia Lebedeva. Alexandru might be replaced by Paul Vardanian from the US. The athletes from Armenia will be led by Chairman of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia Ishkhan Zakarian. MosJan Posted February 6, 2002 Author Report Share Posted February 6, 2002 ARMENIAN NATIONAL TEAM LEFT FOR SALT LAKE CITY TO PARTICIPATE IN 19-TH WINTER OLYMPIAD06.02.2002 /PanARMENIAN.Net/ Today the Armenian national team and the accompanying delegation left for the United States to participate in the 19-th winter Olympiad. The delegation is headed by deputy of the National Assembly Vardevan Grigorian. The team includes mountain skier Arsen Harutyunian, skaters Margarita Nikolian and Aram Hajiyan, as well as mountain skier Vanessa Rakejian residing in France, figure skater Yulia Lebedeva residing in Russia and two bobsled sportsmen, who live in the USA. Let us remind that the 19-th winter Olympiad will take place in Salt Lake City February 8-24.
