Bush told Foreign Minister Yasar Yakis and State MinisterAli Babacan during their meeting in Washington, "gentlemen, there isnothing for you to do in the United States. Return to your countryand pass this motion from your parliament. Any ally has not caused usa lot of tiring effort like you." According to information, Bush gavethese messages: "1-We understand Turkey's concerns. And we take thisinto consideration while we are taking actions. If we don't receivethe support we expect from Turkey, we totally act together withgroups in Northern Iraq. 2-If we don't cooperate, the IMF, World Bankand World Trade Organization give you the cold-shoulder. And aftersuch a stage, it won't be beneficial for you to come to us or try tocorrect the situation. 3-You are aware of the place of Armenian billsin the U.S. states. Yet, Ani should be conserved and restored, as well as Akhtamar church and so many other Armenian sites. Perhaps the site of Tigranakert can be found and unearthed. We should be magnanimous and preserve the Turkish monuments as well, to show that we stand heads above the Turks, who have conducted a vile campaign to erase any record of our existence within the territories that they control.
