Why in the Bible (book of Matthews) it states that Virgin Ma

I thought she never married? People nowadays always point fingers at Joseph, but I am a true believer. I still think she is a Virgin Mary.

Joseph was her Husband, but according to Catholic and Orthodox belief she and Joseph remained celibate. Protestants believe she was a virgin when she gave birth to Jesus, but then later conceived other Children from Joseph. This is one of the biggest controversies between Protestants and Catholics, Orthodox.

Ok, I think what you guys need to do is go back and read the Bible again... Mary was a virgin when she had Jesus, and it does say taht Joseph did not sleep with her until after she gave birth to Jesus. And I don't know why CAtholics think that Mary is stilla virgin, because she definitely had other children with Joesph. It is reasonable to believe that she was a virgin before Jesus was born, but afterwards???? it just doesn't make sesne.. Thats'why CAtholics worship Mary, as if Mary was the one who gave Jesus. But is it hard to see that God gave created Jesus in Mary's womb and that he is the only one who can save people not Mary.

To the best of my recollection, there is no instance in the Bible suggesting that Mary has had other children after the birth of Jesus. However, the theologians indeed have such opinion. It is very possible that such information is conveyed by one of the non-canonical scriptures.
