Those who don’t learn from History, don’t deserve to have one.

Everybody is so busy chewing on that rotten “doggy bone“.

In another post we spoke about the Armenian slang word “krtson/կրծոն” to mean bribe, it is a piece of bone thrown at a dog to appease it. Speaking of a chewing bone, survey the stats here and observe that the highest number of responses is in the category of the Big G. Also note that during the past several months we have had no more than a handful of responses in that thread. We are all so busy chewing on that piece of bone that we can’t even open our mouths to utter a word.

It takes only a piece of poisonous bone to shut us up.

Déjà vu all over again.

We remember those bones to shut us up going back hundreds of years when the “millet system” was created, with promises of full ethnic minorities' autonomy, a nation within a nation. Not only one “millet” but three, count them, “ermeni millet”, “katolik millet” and “portestan millet”. We bit that rotten bone and have been chewing all these years, even today, and in the process we have been gnawing on each others‘ bones..

Then came the so called “constitution/ reformation/ tanzimat” to mainly blow smoke in Europe’s face. We fell for it, we are still waiting. In 1918 furkey was the first to advocate independent Armenia, which was nothing but “divide and rule” i.e separating Armenia from Russia. We fell for it. It was when they attacked “isolated” Armenia (Sardarpat etc..) In 1991, another “AHA” moment, they were one of the first to recognize a once again Independent (out of soviet/Russian aegis) Armenia. We were so “delighted”. AH!!! Now we can all go back to our lost territories and enjoy that proverbial “furkish delight”. WRONG AGAIN!!!! As if they needed an excuse, it took one gunshot in Artsakh to once again seal the borders.

This time, not the Christian west or north but our perennial rival of the south, the world’s most anti-Christian Iran came to our rescue. Why? Some day we may know.

Then came more “doggy bones”. Allowing the repairs of leaky roofs of Armenian properties in stanbol, Rebuilding Aghtamar, not as a “church” mind you, with a dubious promise of once a year religious service. We might as well hold a church service in a tent somewhere, a tent made of used furkish flags.

Promises of rebuilding of the City of 1001 Churches, Ani, promises of opening churches in Tigranakert, Kesaria etc….. please add.

You fool me once, SHAME ON YOU. You fool me twice, three, four, a thousand times, SHAME ON ME!

If someone is told to let sleeping dogs lie, it means that they shouldn't disturb a situation as it would result in trouble or complications

Note above that “lie” means both to lie down and “tell a lie/untruth. Who is that dog that “lies”??? What is their “mother bark?”

I mean mother tongue. Is their name erbokhan, edvard nalbandoghlu or sergey sergeyevich sargsovsky?

Turkey seeks to get into direct contact with Armenian Diaspora in the U.S., Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu stated at the conference with the participation of Turkish Ambassadors and Consuls of North American countries.

The attendees attached significance to the establishment of dialogue with Armenian Diaspora in the U.S. along with Armenia-Turkey normalization, Turkishny website reports. The adoption of Armenian Genocide Resolution by the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs was a major obstacle for mending fences with Diaspora, Turkish diplomats said. “After the Genocide resolution appeared in the U.S. Congress, whole Armenian Diaspora focused its attention on putting it on the agenda of the plenary session and its adoption,” they emphasized.

Yet another ROTTEN BONE thrown at us. Any self respecting Armenian that takes the bait and bites the BONE, exchanges even one word with those DOGS should be remanded to the DOG HOUSE.

Look below at highlighted “events”. Yeah right “events”. What is the definition of “event”? Is it like when pamboukji-oghlu, katerji-oghlu and baghdadli-oghlu sing "Լեցնենք ընկերներ բաժակները լի" ?

Also note the phrase “certain Armenian Diaspora groups”. HUNH!!! Who are those “certain groups”? I can assure you they are not talking about "tashnags/Dashnaks, their definition of "Diaspora". The who are those "certain groups"? The likes of that Ted Bokh-ass-ian? (See the story about Monte Melkonian)

One thing is obvious. They are getting desperate, they tried bullying, threats of deportation, blackmail … and so on, they tried the stick to no avail , and now a “rotten carrot”? Carrot up their ….noses, and that stick , up their#$#%^!!

ANKARA (Combined Sources)—Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met with Turkey’s diplomats in North America on Wednesday to relay orders for the envoys to start “opening dialogue” with certain Armenian Diaspora groups in the United States and Canada, the Turkish Today’s Zaman newspaper reported.

The Turkish Foreign Minister met with Ankara’s ambassadors to Washington and Ottawa, as well as the Consul Generals of Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles and Toronto. He told the diplomats to “engage in dialogue with the Armenian Diaspora and to strengthen this dialogue.”

According to anonymous diplomatic sources quoted by the Anatolian News Agency, Turkey would prioritize contact with Armenian groups who are open to dialogue. The same sources indicated that dialogue with “hard-line groups” was not a priority for Turkey, at least at the moment.

“It is impossible to finalize the normalization of bilateral relations with Armenia without having the Diaspora involved in the process,” Davutolgu said, according to diplomatic sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, the Anatolia News Agency reported.

Davutoglu, meanwhile, told reporters Wednesday that Turks and Armenians “in Paris and Boston” should sit together and attempt to reconcile their memories of what the Turks call the tragic events that took place in 1915.

In 1915 the Ottoman Turkish government set out to annihilate the indigenous Armenian population inhabiting the lands under its dominion. Between 1915-1923, the government executed a systematic campaign to exterminate the Armenian people and remove them from their historic homeland.

The Armenian Genocide, recognized as the first genocide of the 20th century by historians the world over, resulted in the death of an estimated 1.5 million Armenians and the loss of millions of dollars in property and land now under occupation by the Republic of Turkey.

Turkey, however, insists there was no crime and the murders were merely terrible deaths resulting from the collapse of an empire.

“We made some outreach to the American Diaspora,” he said in remarks that appeared to reference the Boston area as home to a large Armenian community. “We told them ‘Our archives are open. We are ready to discuss everything.’”

Davutoglu said that members of the Turkish parliament have discussed passing a resolution condemning the US genocide against Native Americans in retaliation for the bill in Congress, but that he has not encouraged such a measure.

“You can create a success story out of history,” he said. “You can create hatreds as well.”

He said that Turkey had reached out to neighboring Armenia with signs of friendship and he remains hopeful that the Turkish parliament will eventually pass a law that will help normalize relations, although he said he is not sure if there are enough votes yet.

“As Turkey, we are ready to share the pain of our Armenian neighbors,” he said.

But his comments fell far short of the acknowledgment of suffering that millions of Armenians want to hear.
