Its good news.Just wanted to point out that Cognac is brandy made in France Cognac region and anything else made outside of this region should be labeled brandy.Armenian brandy is correct terminology.I noticed Russian labels say Cognac but that's playing with fire. They can get sued.

  • 3 months later...

Now the armenian brandy has changed its name. It is called: ARBUN

What does this name mean ?

Here is one opinion.

Actually the Armenians started making brandy in 1887, while the french law on Cognac was drafted in 1909.

Why ‘Arbun’?

Arbun comes from an Armenian verb arbetsnel: it basically means “to make someone drunk”. Apparently there was a whole process of naming and discussion before the decision was taken.
