Arpa
HALLEJEWA!! Or should I say "havanagila? Hi aSoldier aka Sebastia. Welcome back. Long time no see. Why the question? As far as I am concerned Pentecostalism is not a Christian denomination, it is a CULT. See how some so called pentecostals flail their big boobs pretending to dance and pray, not to forget those in the south of the US who "dance with snakes", based on the Biblical word of "they shall sleep with the snakes" and other nonanities, manyof them die of snake bites, but, not to worry, tey go straight to heaven, jus lke those other idiots tat blow themeselves up just so they can inherit those 72 virgins. Pentecost is a Greek word "pente kosta" to mean "fifty days", which origianallay was a "feast of harvest" What of "fifty days"? The feat of Pentecost happens 10 days after ascension, which in its turnis 40 days after resurrection. The Armenian words for resurection is Harutiun-Յարութիւն, Ascension is Հմաբարձում and Pentecost is Հոգեգալուստ, based on the fable that Jesus reappeared (in spirit/hogi/հոգի) to the apostles after fifty days of his resurrection. I know Sip believes all that because the apostles were having a Mongolian Buffet, or was it Խորուած and a couple of kegs of fermented grape juice-whoopie!!! at the Upper Room/Վերնատուն. Is not our own fables of 7 days and forty nights enough, and now we add fifty days? Acts.2 [1] And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. [2] And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. [3] And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. [4] And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. [5] And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. [6] Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And. If you think I believe all that, I will tell you the story about “Easter bunny/Santa Claus”? http://newwebcreations.com/blog/images/new...Y%20PICTURE.jpg Edited April 8, 2009 by Arpa

aSoldier
What's a Pentecostal? There's that one big Armenian church on Central that everyone goes to. Pentecostal is a Christian denomination, like Orthodox or Catholic but very different in beliefs and how Church should be run.

It's been a long time. Nah, it's not a cult. Those people are just a minority who have misinterpreted the Bible. I know what Pentecostal means, I was asking if there are any of these Churches in Glendale - mainly due to if there is not one I was thinking of planting one in the near future (5-10 years). Arvestaked
There used to be two pentacostal churches. One of them disappeared when their tongues began falling off. The second one disappeared because they all got eaten by snakes.

aSoldier
Oh what's one hour compared to eternal salvation? Haha. I didn't mean like I live in Glendale and don't want to drive an hour, just wanted to see if one existed in Glendale itself. I'll have to assume there isn't one at this stage..
