Amar Suloev

What ethnos is this guy?

Amar Suloev

I've been arguing with Frank Trigg about this as he keeps referring to Amar as Armenian.

I say no.

What do you think?

Country Armenia

If we didn’t know any better, see above CV, we would guess either an Azeri or a Tajik…. whatever. But as long as he claims to be from Armenia, then, judging from his name he is probably a non-Christian citizen of Armenia, like a Yezidi Kurd, an “armenian”(note the lower case A), regardless. Does he speak Armenian as the Yezidis, I have met them, of Armenia do better than you and I.

Amar is a variation of the Muslim name Omar, like in Omar Khayyam.

If he says he is from Armenia, then what is our problem?

Amar does not claim to be Armenian. He was only born there. He lives in Russia now.

Pride: You're from Armenia. Are you well known there?

Suloev: I was born in Armenia but I'm not Armenian. I live in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Pride: Do you represent Armenia or Russia when you fight?

Suloev: Russia. I was just born there [Armenia].

I am not sure why Pride continues to claim that he is from Armenia.

Now Gegard Mousasi on the other hand, I could buy him being part or all Armenian. Any ideas on that guy?

Thanks for the link.

Trigg called me up arguing otherwise.

(Trigg and Mauro take their jobs very seriously and try to constantly improve their work)

After Amar's last performance I'm not sure if he will be invited back.

But if he is, he won't be referred to as an Armenian.

Mousasi, on the other hand, looks like he could be.

Unfortunately he doesn't train with anyone I know.
